The Rev. Michael Bradley Schur died of heart disease, specifically ischemic heart disease associated with occlusive atherosclerosis of the major coronary arteries, on 27 September 1984 at Fargo, Cass County, North Dakota, at age 29.1,4,6 The funeral for Michael Bradley Schur was held on 1 October 1984 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Detroit Lakes, Becker County, Minnesota, at 2:00 p.m. The officiating pastor was Timothy Lincoln, the soloist was Mrs. K.J.      His tombstone states Olaf Rue was born in 1814.1,3 His confirmation record states Olaf Rue was born on 27 December 1815, at probably at Hærstad Nordre, Moland [followed by illegible], Telemark, Norway.4,2 He was also reported to have been born circa 1816.5 He was christened on 19 January 1816.2 He was confirmed on 13 November 1833 at Moelands Hoved? Kirke, Fyresdal parish, Telemark, Norway.2 In 1844 Olaf Rue married Kari Aslaksdtr N. Geitestad, daughter of Aslak Olavson Aketun and Hege Eivindsdtr N. Geitestad.6 Olaf Rue became a widower when his wife Kari Aslaksdtr N. Geitestad died in 1845.6 On 20 June 1848 Olaf Rue married Jorand Johnsdatter, daughter of John Sigurdsen and Guro Halvorsdtr, at Fyresdal parish, Telemark, Norway.5
     Olaf Rue witnessed the marriage of Aslaug Kittelsdatter S. Bjørnestad 2c and Halvor Johnsen on 8 June 1853 at Fyresdal parish, Telemark, Norway.7 On 31 December 1875 Olaf was by occupation "Gaardbrugen Lelveie" (sp?).4 On 12 January 1891, Olaf Rue took out naturalization papers at Clay County, Minnesota, He "made oath that he was born in Norway on or about the year Eighteen Hundred and Thirteen that he emigrated to the United States and landed at the Port of New York on or about the month of August in the year Eighteen Hundred and Eighty three;" and that he renounced "the King of Sweden & Norway whereof he is a subject." He signed with an X.8
     Olaf Rue was naturalized on 17 June 1896 at Clay County, Minnesota.9 He died [Moland death reg shows this as Ole T. Rui, 87, married, b. Norway, farmer, of old age--presumably him as Ole Tjostovson Rui] on 31 July 1897 at Clay County, Minnesota, at age 81.10,11 He was incorrectly reported as dying in 1898.1,3 He was buried at Buffalo River Cemetery, later Concordia, Clay County, Minnesota. Wright was the undertaker; listed as Ole K., which may be the correct Ole as Tjöstov was sometimes written with a K instead of a T.10,12 His estate was probated on 12 August 1899 at Clay County, Minnesota. His estate was administered by Jorgen Jensen. He died intestate and the residue of his estate consisted of real property, to-wit the E1/2 of NW1/4 of Section 32 in Township 141 N, Range 46 W, of 5th Principal Meridian (his homestead). Also $202.84 cash. Heirs were his widow Joraand Rue, and surviving children Kari Bendickson, Kari Rue Juve, Chester O. Rue, Guro Olson, and Liv Tviten. The whole of the homestead was assigned "to Joraand Rue for and during her natural life, and the remainder of said Homestead to the above named children, a one undivided one fifth part thereof to each of said children respectfully.
"A one third part of the foregoing described personal property to Joraand Rue, as the surviving wife of said deceased, and a one two fifteenths (2/15) part thereof to each of said children respectively."13

     Gunnar Tarjeison Mule was born on 13 May 1819, probably at Gåstjønn, Skafså, Telemark, Norway.3,4,5,6,7,8 In 1846 Gunnar Tarjeison Mule married Ingebjørg Tjostovsdatter Gryte, daughter of Tjöstov Olsen Rollevstad and Kari Jensdtr Spokkeli, at Norway.1 On 2 June 1880 Gunnar farmed at Moland Township, Clay County, Minnesota.6 He died of old age per Moland death reg[Dark photo of tombstone seems to show 19 Mai 1819-18 Feb 1884; visit grave] on 13 February 1884 at Moland Township, Clay County, Minnesota, at age 64.3,9 He died on 13 February 1894 at age 74.4,10,11,8,12 He was buried at Buffalo River Cemetery, later Concordia Cemetery, Clay County, Minnesota. Beck-Wright was the undertaker.9,10 His estate was probated on 4 September 1915 at Clay County, Minnesota. William G. Fitzgerald petitioned that letters of administration be granted to Norman S. Stadum. Said petitioner appeared with heir Chester G. Muhle and it was agreed that Theodore H. Skrei be named administrator instead of Norman H. Stadum. Notice of the hearing was published in the Red River Valley News. The decedent died intestate and petition was granted that Theodore H. Skrei be administrator.13

     Minnie Helseth was born on 21 November 1892.4 She was also reported to have been born on 21 November 1893 at Minnesota Her parents were Norwegian.1,5 She and Oscar Muhle were incorrectly shown as married on 1 May 1910.1 On 21 May 1910 Minnie Helseth married Oscar Muhle, son of Tarje Muhle and Guro Olasdatter Rue, at Clay County, Minnesota.6,7 Minnie Helseth appears in a group photo of Guro Muhle's descendants and their spouses circa 1926?. She appears in a group photo of the Oscar Muhle family.
     On 25 June 1949 Minnie attended the wedding of her husband's cousin Dolores Mae Lamb and Wayne Vincent Huebner at the Glyndon Lutheran Church, Glyndon, Clay County, Minnesota.8,1,9,10,11
