The will of Sir John Cheyne K.C., LL.D., 10th of Tangwick was proved 13 March 1907. An abstract of it reads: "Cheyne sir John of 13 Chester Street Edinburgh K.C. L.L.D. died 15 January 1907 at Edinburgh Confirmation of dame Mary Isabella Cheyne widow Harry Cheyne writer to the signet and Joseph Gordon Clunes Cheyne secretary. Sealed London 13 March"..¹⁰
