The household also included, Joe Yelton, age 61.11 Sarah Hopkins was She was, for many years, correspondent for the Pendleton Reformer and Falmouth Outlook. A longtime member of Grant's Lick Baptist Church, she taught the primary class in Sunday School for 50 years and was treasurer of the Sunday School for 33 years.3 She never married.3 She died on 10 March 1941 in Grant's Lick, Kentucky.3 She was buried in Oakland Cemetery, Grant's Lick, Campbell County, Kentucky, on 13 March 1941.2,3

The household also includes Mary's mother Jane Kidwell, age 48.6 In 1880 Richard Leonard Yelton was a telegraph operator.6 He was enumerated as the head of a household in the 1900 Census of Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. Other family members included his wife, Mary Yelton, age 43, his sons, Glen Yelton, age 9 and Donald Yelton, age 8, his daughters, Myrtle Yelton, age 23 and Fay Yelton, age 13. Leander Redman

     Leander Redman was born circa 1829 in North Carolina.1

Leander Redman married Caroline Yelton, daughter of William James Yelton and Edith Decker, on 1 April 1852 in Buncombe County, North Carolina.1,2 Leander Redman, age 31 was listed as the head of a household in the 1860 Census of Buncombe County, North Carolina. Also living in the household were Caroline Redman, age 26, Mary Redman, age 7, David Redman, age 6, Luretta Redman, age 3 and Saml Redman, age 1. Leander reported owning no real estate, but had personal property worth $200.1 The regiment was organized by increasing the 6th Infantry Battalion to a regiment in Madison County, in the summer of 1862. Field consolidation with the 58th Infantry Regiment from December 1863 to April 9, 1865. The regiment's first commander was Col. Joseph A. McDowell.

The regiment was part of Breckinridge's Division from November 1862 through November 1863, then part of Stevenson's Division.3 Between 31 December 1862 and 3 January 1863 Battle of Murfreesboro.3 Between 23 November 1863 and 25 November 1863 Battle of Chattanooga.3 On 22 June 1864 On 22 June 1864, he was captured at New Hope Church near Marietta, GA. He was sent first to Louisville, KY and then to Camp Douglas, near Chicago.4 He died on 20 January 1865 Camp Douglas, Chicago, Illinois, According to the prison records, the cause of his death was "general debility."4 He was buried in Chicago City Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois. He is buried in Grave #521, Block 2.4
