Gosney, age 77 in the 1930 Census of Newport, Campbell County, Kentucky.⁸ Fannie Hopkins died on 14 April 1944 in Ft. Yelton, age 48.⁹ In 1927 Sarah Hopkins lived in Grants Lick, Kentucky.¹⁰ She was listed as the head of a household in the 1930 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky. The household also included, Joe Yelton, age 61.¹¹ Sarah Hopkins was She was, for many years, correspondent for the Pendleton Reformer and Falmouth Outlook. A longtime member of Grant's Lick Baptist Church, she taught the primary class in Sunday School for 50 years and was treasurer of the Sunday School for 33 years.³ She never married.³ She died on 10 March 1941 in Grant's Lick, Kentucky.³ She was buried in Oakland Cemetery, Grant's Lick, Campbell County, Kentucky, on 13 March 1941.^2,3

     Richard Leonard Yelton was born on 28 May 1852 in Pendleton County, Kentucky.^1,2 He was living in the household of John J. Yelton, age 47, in the 1860 Census of Logan County, Illinois.³ Richd. L. Yelton, age 18 was living in the household of John J. Yelton, age 57, in the 1870 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky.⁴

Richard Leonard Yelton married Mary E. Kidwell on 7 November 1874 Kentucky.⁵ Lenord Yelton, age 28 was enumerated as the head of a household in the 1880 Census of Butler, Pendleton County, Kentucky. The family included his wife, Mary Yelton, age 24, his son, Henry Yelton, age 4 months, his daughters, Crisanna Yelton, age 4 and Murtle Yelton, age 3. The household also includes Mary's mother Jane Kidwell, age 48.⁶ In 1880 Richard Leonard Yelton was a telegraph operator.⁶ He was enumerated as the head of a household in the 1900 Census of Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. Other family members included his wife, Mary Yelton, age 43, his sons, Glen Yelton, age 9 and Donald Yelton, age 8, his daughters, Myrtle Yelton, age 23 and Fay Yelton, age 13. Mary has borne 7 children, all of whom are living.⁷ In 1900 Richard Leonard Yelton was a railroad telegrapher.⁷

     America Casson was born circa 1830.¹

America Casson married Leroy J. Yelton, son of John H. Yelton and Judith Minerva Taylor, on 6 April 1853 in Campbell County, Kentucky.^2,3 America Casson died before 1860 I suspect that America and Edward both died before 1860, as Leroy and Sarah are living with his parents at that point.⁴

     Edward F. Yelton died on 22 August 1855 in Pendleton County, Kentucky.² He was born on 22 August 1855 Kentucky.^1,2

     Sarah M. Yelton was born on 31 December 1853 in Pendleton County, Kentucky.¹ She was living in the household of John H. Yelton, age 52, in the 1860 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky.² Sarah Yelton, age 6, was living in the household of Leroy J. Yelton, age 29, in the 1860 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky.³

Sarah M. Yelton married Charles Hiteman on 1 May 1873 Kentucky.⁴

     Joseph S. Trivett was born on 8 May 1874 in Sorrel Creek Dist., Watauga County, North Carolina.¹ He died on 10 May 1875.²

     Pashley L. Trivett was born on 6 June 1882 in Sorrel Creek Dist., Watauga County, North Carolina.¹ He died on 29 January 1934.²

     Minnie L. Trivett was born on 2 March 1884 in Sorrel Creek Dist., Watauga County, North Carolina.¹

     Leander Redman was born circa 1829 in North Carolina.¹

Leander Redman married Caroline Yelton, daughter of William James Yelton and Edith Decker, on 1 April 1852 in Buncombe County, North Carolina.^1,2 Leander Redman, age 31 was listed as the head of a household in the 1860 Census of Buncombe County, North Carolina. Also living in the household were Caroline Redman, age 26, Mary Redman, age 7, David Redman, age 6, Luretta Redman, age 3 and Saml Redman, age 1. Leander reported owning no real estate, but had personal property worth $200.¹ The regiment was organized by increasing the 6th Infantry Battalion to a regiment in Madison County, in the summer of 1862. Field consolidation with the 58th Infantry Regiment from December 1863 to April 9, 1865. The regiment's first commander was Col. Joseph A. McDowell.

The regiment was part of Breckinridge's Division from November 1862 through November 1863, then part of Stevenson's Division.³ Between 31 December 1862 and 3 January 1863 Battle of Murfreesboro.³ Between 23 November 1863 and 25 November 1863 Battle of Chattanooga.³ On 22 June 1864 On 22 June 1864, he was captured at New Hope Church near Marietta, GA. He was sent first to Louisville, KY and then to Camp Douglas, near Chicago.⁴ He died on 20 January 1865 Camp Douglas, Chicago, Illinois, According to the prison records, the cause of his death was "general debility."⁴ He was buried in Chicago City Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois. He is buried in Grave #521, Block 2.⁴

Redmon, age 42, his sons, Joseph B. Redmon, age 13, Solomon Redmon, age 5 and Virgil McK. Redmon, age 1, his daughters, Polly J. Redmon, age 14, Bessie M. Redmon, age 9 and Lillie F. Redmon, age 7. Sarah has borne 10 children, all of whom are living.⁶ David Marion Redman and Sarah E. Gryder were divorced before 1920.⁷ David M. Redmon, age 75 was listed as the father of James S.      Owen William Dunaway was born on 16 October 1854 in Pendleton County, Kentucky.^3,2,4 He was living in the household of Dudly Dunaway, age 50, in the 1860 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky.⁵ Alvin Dunaway, age 17 was living in the household of Douglass Dunaway, age 60, in the 1870 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky.⁶

Owen William Dunaway married Mary L. Bray circa 1877.⁷ Owen Dunaway, age 25 was enumerated as the head of a household in the 1880 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky. The family included his wife, Mary L. Dunaway, age 26, his son, Elmer Dunaway, age 1. Also in the household is Francis W. Bray, Owen's 22 year old brother-in-law.⁸ Owen Dunaway, age 45 was enumerated as the head of a household in the 1900 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky. Other family members included his wife, Mary J. Dunaway, age 46, his son, Elmir Dunaway, age 21, his daughters, Nora P. Dunaway, age 19, Fannie Dunaway, age 13 and Lilla M. Dunaway, age 4.⁴ Owen William Dunaway died on 17 August 1912 Kentucky.³ He was buried in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Butler, Pendleton County, Kentucky, on 18 August 1912.³
