Robert Hampton Gosney Sr. married America Yelton, daughter of Charles Yelton and Amelia (Millie) Gosney, on 10 June 1843 in Pendleton County, Kentucky.^4,5 Robert H. Gosney, age 29, was listed as the head of a household in the 1850 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky. Also living in the household were America Gosney, age 28, Milton A. Gosney, age 2 and B. Gosney, age one month. Robert reported owning real estate worth $220. Apparently Jasper had not yet been named, and B. stands for "Baby."⁶ He died on 16 March 1883.² He was buried in Oakland Cemetery, Grant's Lick, Kentucky.¹

     Jasper Joseph Gosney was born on 8 May 1850 in Pendleton County, Kentucky.^1,2 He was living in the household of Robert H. Gosney, age 29, in the 1850 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky.³ 1879 he moved to Warren County, MO, where he engaged in railroad contracting, furnishing ties to the railroad company.⁴ 1883 he purchased timberland near New Bloomfield, MO.⁴ In 1922 Jasper Joseph Gosney lived in Arkansas.⁵

     Nancy F. Hopkins was born circa 1830 in Kentucky.

Nancy F. Hopkins married Hayden Yelton, son of Charles Yelton and Amelia (Millie) Gosney, on 20 April 1850 in Campbell County, Kentucky.^1,2,3 Nancy Yelton, age 20, was living in the household of Haden Yelton, age 26, in the 1850 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky.⁴ Nancy F. Hopkins died on 18 June 1868. She was survived by her husband, Hayden Yelton.^2,5

     Ellen Fryer was born on 2 January 1821 in Kentucky the daughter of Walter and Mary Fryer.^1,2

Yelton, age 32, in the 1850 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky.⁶ Ellen (Fryer) Yelton died on 17 March 1855 Kentucky at age 34 of consumption (tuberculosis). She was survived by her husband, James Gosney Yelton.^2,7

George Wesley Yelton married Lucy O. Holmes on 30 September 1873.^6,7 George Yelton, age 33 was enumerated as the head of a household in the 1880 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky. The family included his wife, Lucy Yelton, age 31. The household also includes Maud Rawlings, age 1, identified as George's niece. Maud was actually Lucy's niece, and later married Frank Fryer.^8,6 George Wesley Yelton and Lucy O. Holmes had no children.^9,6 George survived the death of his wife, Lucy (Holmes) Yelton, on 12 April 1916.¹⁰ George Wesley Yelton died on 8 December 1924 Kentucky.^2,11 He was buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Pendleton County, Kentucky, on 13 December 1924.²

Yelton, age 48, in the 1860 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky.⁷ Sarah Yelton, age 51 was living in the household of Benj.      Mary A. Hand was the daughter of William J. Hand and Sabrina Chapman.¹ She was born circa 1846.²

Mary A. Hand married Alfred Allen, son of Ira Allen and Nancy Yelton, on 29 March 1866 in Marshall County, Indiana.³ Mary (Hand) Allen died in February 1870. She was survived by her husband, Alfred Allen.^1,4

     Malinda Baldwin was born circa 1843 in Ohio.¹
