John was born about 1690 in Maryland and was married 21 January 1714 to Susannah Tyler, born 14 July 1700, the daughter of Robert Tyler and Mary Duval. Robert Tyler's will of 24 August 1738 names daughter Susannah Lamar. Source: Florrie Belle Randle, granddaughter of Amelia Lamar Randle.
