  2.  Pearl Eugenia (Aunt Lolly) HARRISON

Notes

Married 13 Jan 1859 at Dr. Nances home: A.L. Witherington (35) and M.E. Finch (21) by J.C.S. Aiken, M.G., Methodist Episcopal Church South.

"Born in Canada. Moved to New York when she was a child. Emma was a beautiful lady and she played the organ at "the little church around the corner" in NYC. It was in NYC that she blossomed into society, excelled in music and some of her writings were published in Harper's Bazaar Magazine. When Mary Emma married A.L.Witherington she traveled to El Dorado, Arkansas. Evidently shortly after their marriage Mary Emma's father Joe Finch, his wife, her grandmother who was born in 1795, her brother Will, and her sister Amelia migrated to Union county.

A.L., Mary Emma had four children, Madelene, Evelyn Emma ( my grandmother), Harriet, and Henry Witherington. Evidently Mary Emma did not stay a widow too long. Research shows 1870 Census shows Mary Emma Harrison. She didn't wait long before she married Will D. Harrison. They evidently moved to Pine Bluff shortly after being wed.It is my opinion that Mary Emma and Will squandered A.L assets."
