     Margaret Cheyne was born, 10 December 1848, in Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland. No IGI baptismal record was found.1,2,3,4,5,6

Mary Cheyne, James Cheyne, John Cheyne, Margaret Cheyne, Jessie Cheyne and George Cheyne were listed as children in the household of John Cheyne and his wife, Mary Harper on the 1851 Scotland Census, at 2 Marywell Street, in Aberdeen, Old Machar Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland.3

Margaret Cheyne was in the household of Margaret Cheyne and listed as niece on the 1861 Scotland Census, at Ardlogie, in Fyvie Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. She was listed as age 14, born in Fyvie Parish and a scholar.7

Margaret Cheyne married Adam Anderson 28 December 1867, in accordance with the procedures of the Scottish Episcopal Church, at Saint Andrews Chapel, King Street, in Aberdeen, Saint Nicholas Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. She was listed on the marriage record as 20 years of age, a spinster with no occupation listed, residing at 17 Castle Street, Aberdeen. The marriage was officiated by Tho's G. Souther, Bishop of Scots Episcopal Church in Aberdeen and witnessed by Robert Anderson and Robert Menzies. Her brother, John Cheyne (9888), married 7 months earlier to an Elizabeth Anderson, at the same church and by the same minster. The two Andersons had different parents, but may have been cousins. Her parents were confirmed to have been as herein recorded.8,5

Margaret Anderson was listed as the wife of and in the household of Adam Anderson on the 1871 England Census in Byker, Northumberland, England. Also in the household was a James Sunderland, who will lated marry her sister, Jessie Duguid Cheyne; joiner.9

Margaret Anderson was in the household of Robert Anderson and listed as daugher-in-law on the 1881 Scotland Census, at Brindy Moor, in Keig Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. Also present were her husband, Adam Anderson, and their children, Mary E. J. Anderson, Robert Anderson, Jessie Mc R. Anderson, Alice C. Anderson and Louise A. Anderson. She was 32 years of age and born in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire.4

Margaret Anderson immigrated with her husband Adam Anderson, 16 July 1883 to Quebec, Quebec, Canada. Also present were her children Margaret Anderson, Mary Anderson, Robert Anderson, Jessie Anderson, Alice Anderson, Louisa Anderson and Beatrice Anderson. They were passengers aboard the Corean out of Glasgow and bound for Montreal.10

Also present listed as their children were, Margaret Anderson, Mary Anderson, Robert Anderson, Jessie Anderson, Alice Anderson, Louise Anderson, Beatrice Anderson, Marjory Anderson and Octavia Anderson. A boarder, Thosma Anderson, 24, was also present.. Margaret was listed as 41 years old, married and in Scotland.11

Margaret Anderson and her husband, Adam Anderson, were listed on the 1901 Canada Census, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They were listed as the head of household and wife. Also present listed as their children were, Mary Anderson, Alice Anderson, Louisa Anderson, Beatrice Anderson, Marjory Anderson and Fanny Anderson. They have immigrated to Canada in 1883. Four lodgers were also present.. Margaret was listed as 53 years old, married and born 10 December 1848 in Scotland.5

Margaret Anderson and her husband, Adam Anderson, were listed on the 1911 Canada Census, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They were listed as the head of household and wife. Also present listed as their children were, Mary Anderson, Marjory Anderson and Fanny Anderson. They have immigrated to Canada in 1879. Two roomers were also present.. Margaret was listed as 62 years old, married and born in December 1848 in Scotland.12

Margaret Anderson died 1937 in Cartierville, Quebec, Canada.13
