     Adam Anderson was born, 21 February 1840, in Alford Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. He was baptized the 28th of June following.1,2,3,4,5,6

Robert Anderson, Adam Anderson, Barbara Anderson, Mary Anderson and Margaret Anderson were listed as children in the household of Robert Anderson and his wife, Janet Anderson on the 1851 Scotland Census, at Whitefield, in Tullynessle & Forbes Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. He was 11 years of age, born in Alford Parish and scholar.4

Adam Anderson married Margaret Cheyne 28 December 1867, in accordance with the procedures of the Scottish Episcopal Church, at Saint Andrews Chapel, King Street, in Aberdeen, Saint Nicholas Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The marriage record listed him as a 26 year old bachelor, employed as a journeyman house carpenter and residing at North Court, 17 Castle Street, Aberdeen. His parents were confirmed to have been as herein recorded.7,5

Adam Anderson and his wife Margaret Anderson were listed on the 1871 England Census, in Byker, Northumberland, England. He was head of household and a joiner. Also present was his child, Margaret Joss Anderson. In addition, his mother-in-law, Mary Cheyne (6091) and a James Sutherland (10128), joiner, were also present. That James Sutherland will later marry Margaret Cheyne's sister, Jessie (10129). Not present was their son, Robert (7941), who may have died young. He would have been three.. He was 30 and born in Scotland.1

Adam Anderson was found in the household of Robert Anderson and listed as a son on the 1881 Scotland Census at Brindy Moor, in Keig Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. Also present were his wife, Margaret Anderson, and their children, Mary E. J. Anderson, Robert Anderson, Jessie Mc R. Anderson, Alice C. Anderson and Louise A. Anderson. He was 40 years of age, born in Alford Parish and a master carpenter.2

Adam Anderson immigrated 16 July 1883 to Quebec, Quebec, Canada. Accompanying him was his wife Margaret Anderson also present were his children Margaret Anderson, Mary Anderson, Robert Anderson, Jessie Anderson, Alice Anderson, Louisa Anderson and Beatrice Anderson. They were passengers aboard the Corean out of Glasgow and bound for Montreal.8

Adam Anderson and his wife Margaret Anderson were listed on the 1891 Canada Census, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was head of household and a general carpenter. Also present were his children, Margaret Anderson, Mary Anderson, Robert Anderson, Jessie Anderson, Alice Anderson, Louise Anderson, Beatrice Anderson, Marjory Anderson and Octavia Anderson. A boarder, Thosma Anderson, 24, was also present.. He was listed as 48 years old, married and born in Scotland.9

Adam Anderson and his wife Margaret Anderson were listed on the 1901 Canada Census, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was head of household and a pattern maker. Also present were his children, Mary Anderson, Alice Anderson, Louisa Anderson, Beatrice Anderson, Marjory Anderson and Fanny Anderson. They have immigrated to Canada in 1883. Four lodgers were also present.. He was listed as 60 years old, married and born 21 February 1841 in Scotland.5

Adam Anderson and his wife Margaret Anderson were listed on the 1911 Canada Census, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was head of household and a pattern maker. Also present were his children, Mary Anderson, Marjory Anderson and Fanny Anderson. They have immigrated to Canada in 1879. Two roomers were also present.. He was listed as 70 years old, married and born in February 1841 in Scotland.10

Adam Anderson died 9 November 1921 in Cartierville, Quebec, Canada.11
