Graduated St. Vincent's Academy, Shreveport, LA 1920. Mother Cabrini was her patron saint, the Founder of Orphanages, Hospitals, and schools in America. When she became old enough to enter the convent she wished to return to N.O., but her love of family decided her to remain in Shreveport, and she joined the Daughters of the Cross of St. Vincent De Paul. There she taught school for many years in Shreveport, Marksville, and Monroe. She furthered her education at Tulane, Washington DC, St. Marilac St. Louis and abroad. A highly educated, and genteel woman. After her retirement from teaching, She became interested in the founding of the order and did much research and translation of archival french letters and documents. She is author of "They Came to Louisiana" and "Chalkdust and Pencil Shavings" receiving numerous literary awards for her historical accounts of nuns in Louisiana.

The closest we will ever get to a Saint. She was a teacher for many years, donated all her labors to the community. Whenever, and wherever she could she helped her family. Inspiring and contacting people she knew to help them with employment or educational needs.
