YARD, Sara J.

Glendale -- Mrs. Sara J. Yard, 63, who operated Glenn's Drive In Restaurant on Grand Ave. with her husband from 1949 to 1955, died Feb. 28, 1970, at her home, 5334 W. State Ave. She was born in Witt, IL, and came here in 1948. She attended the Glendale Bible Church. Survivors include her husband, Glenn A.; two sons, Dwight Yard of Glendale and Richard Yard of Tempe; one brother and one sister out of state; and two grandchildren. Entombment in Resthaven Mausoleum. 3/1/1970.

YARNELL, Leo A.

Youngtown -- Leo A. Yarnell, 76, 11440 Park Drive, a former school teacher, clothier, and upholsterer, died Mar. 8, 1970, in Mountain View Pioneer Hospital. He was born in Langley, Kansas, and graduated from McPherson College in McPherson, KS. He taught school before going into the clothing business for 25 years and worked for 15 years as an upholsterer with Beech Aircraft in Wichita, KS. He came here 10 years ago. Wife, Myrtle; sons, Warren of Orange, California, and Robert of Liberal, KS; a sister out of state and five grandchildren. Funeral services were at Youngtown Community Church. Burial in Resthaven Cemetery. 3/9/1970.

YOUNG, Orel

Scottsdale -- Orel Young, 71, a retired Phelps Dodge mining engineer, died Sat., March 7, 1970, at the MediCenter. He was born in Clinton, Michigan, and moved to Morenci in 1920 and to Scottsdale in 1953. Survivors include his wife, May; daughter, Barbara ROCKS of Colorado Springs, CO; and three grandchildren. Burial in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. 3/9/1970.
