Sun City -- John M. Yackel, 76, who retired here in 1963 from Saskatchewan, Canada, died March 25, 1980. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. Survivors include his wife, Frances; four sisters, Allie Wildeman, Clara Schaller, both of Vancouver, B.C., Adeline Trapp, Sun City; Viola Couch, Escondido, CA and two brothers, Rev. Theodore Yackel of Escondido, CA, and Reuben Yacket, Saskatchewan, Canada. Services were in Faith Presbyterian Church, Masonic Committal Service. Interment Sunland. 3/28/1980.

Kimi Yamaguchi, 90, died March 23, 1980, in her home. Mrs. Yamaguchi was a member of Phoenix Central Seventh Day Adventist Church. She came here in 1950 from Stockton, CA, and is survived by her children, Grace Kitchen and June Arao, Fred and John K.; eight grandchildren. Services and burial were in Stockton, CA. 3/24/1980.

YARD, Helen

Helen Yard, 58, who moved here in 1948 from her native Illinois, died Oct. 12, 1980, in Hayden Manor Nursing Home. She is survived by her hsuband, Merle M. Yard; son, Major Charles Yard, Antonio, Texas; sister, Mrs. Ralph Robinson; and two grandchildren. Mass was in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 24th St/Campbell. 10/15/1980.

YENTER, Merrie W.

Husband, Fred; children, Ruth Templin, Mildred Brechler and LaVore Nielsen; sister, Elizabeth Broberg. Services 1st Presbyterian Church. Interment Valley of the Sun Cemetery. 3/29/1980.

YOUNG, Clara Josephine

Clara J. Young, 44, a nurse's aide, died March 13, 1980, in her residence. She moved to Phoenix 18 years ago from her native Alabama. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Young, Jr.; mother, Mary Estelle Hart; a sister, Marie Woodard; and two brothers, Charles W. Callahan and Hoke Lee Hart. Mass was at St. Mark's Church, 400 N. 30th St. Interment St. Francis Cemetery. 3/16/1980.
