Services for James Pappas, 71, who died January 6, 1960, in his home, 544 E. Adams, were in the Greek Orthodox Church, 333 E. Virginia. The Rev. Kostas Poulakidas officiated. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Park. A native of Greece, Mr. Pappas came to Phoenix five years ago. A retired merchant, he was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church. All his known survivors live in Greece. The AZ Republic 14 January 1960.

PARLETTE, Albert J.

Funeral services for Albert J. Parlette, 61, who died Sunday, January 10, 1960, in Good Samaritan Hospital, were in the Garden of Mercer Mortuary, 1541 E. Thomas. The Rev. Ralph Kofeed officiated. Burial in Memory Lawn Memorial Park. Mr. Parlette, who was born in Ohio, came to Phoenix eight years ago. He lived at 1610 W. Elm. One of the founders of the Checker Cab Co. in Detroit, he was engaged in the operation of the Phoenix Valley Tourist Park. Survivors are his wife, Erna Mae, and two sisters, Margaret Coughlin, Detroit, and Mary Wall, Los Angeles. Thursday, Jan. 15, 1960.

PARSONS, Sarah Jane

Funeral services and burial for Mrs. Sarah Jane Parsons, 87, long time Arizona resident, were in Flagstaff, A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary announced. Born in Milwaukee, Mrs. Parsons went to Flagstaff from Rose, Kansas, in 1907. She resided there until June 1959 when she moved to Scottsdale and resided at 431 W. Wilshire Dr. She also had a home in Flagstaff. Mrs. Parsons died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1960, in Good Samaritan Hospital. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Durward McKinney of Scottsdale and Flagstaff. PARTEE, Julia

Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Partee, 86, who died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1960, in her home, were in Eastlake Mortuary Chapel. The Rev. A. G. Kendrick officiated. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Partee, born in Looxahoma, Mississippi, came to Phoenix 20 years ago. She had been ill several years. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Martha Dillard, Phoenix. The AZ Republic 6 January 1960

PATTERSON, Annie Kathleen

Prescott -- Requiem mass for Mrs. Annie Kathleen Patterson, 70, who died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1959, was in Sacred Heart Church. Rosary was at the Ruffner Funeral Home. Mrs. Patterson, born in Many, Louisiana, had lived in Skull Valley 18 years and in Arizona 21 years. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Dickseay Solphur, Fredonia; Mrs. Geraldine O'Brien, Tucson; and Mrs. Kathleen Mineer and Mrs. Peggy Miller, both of Trona, Calif.; a son, Capt. Jack Patterson, Holloman Air Force Base, N. M.; a brother, J. M. Buvens, Skull Valley; two sisters, Mrs. James Goggin, El Paso, and Mrs. J. W. Hollingsworth, Laguna Beach, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery. 6 January 1960

PAULSELL, Leslie Calvin

Holbrook -- Funeral services for Leslie Calvin Paulsell, 20, who died of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on U. S. 66, 16 miles east of here Sunday, Jan. 10, 1960, were in the Holbrook Community Church. Burial in Holbrook Municipal Cemetery. Mr. Paulsell, born in Holbrook, attended high school in Sanders and Arizona State University. He had been active in 4-H work a number of years. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Patton Paulsell, Navajo, and a brother, Patton, of Ray. The AZ Republic 12 Jan 1960.

PAXTON, Mary Alma

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Alma Paxton, 75, Glendale resident the past 45 years, were in Memory Chapel, A. L. Moore & Sons Mortuary. The Rev. Edwin B. Womack officiated. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Paxton, born in Illinois, lived at the Paxton Ranch, 103rd Avenue and Van Buren. She was a past president of the Pendergast School PTA, past president of the Cashion Come With Us Club, and was a member of the Lionaides, Tolleson. She is survived by her husband, George; a daughter, Mrs. David (Grace) Eastin, Phoenix, and a grandson. 20 Jan 1960.

PEHRSON, Emil H.

Funeral services for Emil H. PEHRSON, 82, who died yesterday at his home, 3734 E. Picadilly, will be held in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1212 E. Glendale. The Rev. John PETERSON will officiate. Burial will be in Moorhead, Minnesota. Mr. PEHRSON was born in Red Wing, Minnesota. He had been a partner in a farm equipment firm in Moorhead for 38 years. He retired in 1952 and came to Pheonix a year later. He was a member of Our Saviour's Church. Survivors are his wife, Lillian, Phoenix; a daughter, Mrs. LeRoy MOTHERSHEAD, Twin Falls, Idaho; one brother and one sister out of state; and three grandchildren. 30 January 1960.

PEMBERTON, Alpha W.

Funeral services and burial for Alpha W. Pemberton, 76, who died January 6, 1960, in the home of a son, Leonard, 5242 E. Cambridge, were in Littleton, Colorado, Messinger Mortuary and Chapel in Scottsdale announced. A native of Taneyville, Missouri, Mr. Pemberton, a retired farmer, had been visiting in Arizona the past five winters. His home was in Calhan, Colorado. Besides the son here, he is survived by three other sons, Cecil, Palm Springs, Calif.; Vernon, Monterosa, Calif.; and Gerald, Parker, Colorado; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Baker, Inglewood, CO, and Mrs. Mildred Little and Mrs. Margaret Skaggs, both of Calhan; three brothers and a sister. PERALTA, Ramon V.

Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Glendale, for Ramon V. PERALTA, an Arizonan for 51 years, who died Wednesday in a Valley hospital. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Park. Rosary was recited at Colonial Chapel of Mortensen-Kingsley Mortuary, 1020 W. Washington. Mr. Peralta was born in Sonora, Mexico. He was a farmer at Litchfield Park. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Petra P. LIZARRGA, Litchfield Park, and Mrs. Jesus P. SOLIS, Avondale. 31 January 1960.

PERGLER, John

Services for John Pergler, 79, who died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1960, in a Phoenix nursing home, will be tomorrow in the Paradise Chapel and Funeral Home, 3934 E. Indian School. The Rev. Everett Crimmings will officiate. Entombment will be in Greenwood Mausoleum. Mr. Pergler, born in Czechoslovakia, came to Phoenix 1 1/2 years ago from Algonguin, Illinois. He resided at 4535 N. 49th Pl. and was a retired carpenter. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church here. He is survived by his wife, Julia; a sister, Mrs. John Zajic, Phoenix; a son, John T., Oak Park, Illinois; a daughter, Mrs. Annabelle Boubelik, Berwyn, Illinois; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. PERKINS, Vernon George

Chandler -- Funeral services for Vernon George Perkins, 19, of Ajo, who was killed Sunday, Jan. 17, 1960, in an automobile accident near Ajo, were at the Blackwater Presbyterian Church on the Gila River Indian Reservation. Bueler Mortuary, Chandler. Mr. Perkins was a graduate of Chandler High School and lived in the Chandler area most of his life. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Perkins, Chandler; four sisters, Mrs. Thelma Sixkiller, Chicago, Mrs. Mulvaney, Akron, Ohio, and Mrs. Carol Rivera and Elaine Perkins, both of Chandler; and two brothers, Everett, San Diego, and Dennis, Chandler.
