LAMBERT, John M.

Yuma -- Funeral services for John Melvin Lambert, 63, who died in his home here Sunday, (17 Jan 1960), will be today in the Johnson Mortuary. Mr. Lambert, born in Chicago, had been a Yuma resident the past 10 years. He was a salesman for the Wilson Meat Co. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; two sons, J. M. Lambert, Biloxi, Mississippi, and James R. Lambert, Los Angeles; two brothers, Donald and Jerome, both of Eugene, Oregon; and six grandchildren. The Arizona Republic Tuesday, 19 January 1960.

LANCASTER, Vera R.

Mesa -- Funeral services for Mrs. Vera R. Lancaster, 49, were in M. L. Gibbons Mortuary here. The Rev. Steve Kmetko of the First Baptist Church officiated. Burial in Mesa Cemetery. Mrs. Lancaster died Wed., Jan. 20, 1960, in Mesa Southside District Hospital. Born in Sturgis, Michigan, she came to Mesa five years ago from Van Wert, Ohio. She was employed at the Mesa hospital before her illness. Her home was at 216 N. Center St. here. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth B.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Marbaugh, and a brother, William, Jr., all of Van Wert; two stepsons, Virgil Lancaster, Tempe, and Donald Lancaster, Sturgis; and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lois Faust, Stroh, Indiana. LANE, Barbara Tracy

Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Tracy Lane, 39, who with her husband of five months, Jack Lane, was drowned Dec. 31, 1959, in the Gulf of California, were Wednesday, January 6. The Rev. Cecil Prior, pastor of the Tempe Congregational Church, officiated in Memory Chapel, A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Lane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. (Jack) Tracy, 921 W. Monte Vista, had resided with her husband in Yuma since their marriage. She was a native of San Francisco. In Yuma, Mrs. Lane was president of the Yuma Hospital Auxiliary, a board member of the Crippled Children's Society, and was active in social work. She also was a member of the Zonta Club. LARGO, Anthony Raymond

Rosary for Anthony Raymond Largo, 23, was recited in the Whitney and Murphy Funeral Home. Requiem high was in St. Matthew's Catholic Church. The Litchfield Air Facility conducted graveside services in St. Frances Cemetery. Mr. Largo was killed in a California plane crash Saturday, Jan. 9, 1960. He was a student at Phoernix College and a member of the Phoenix Naval Reserve. A native of Brooklyn, he came to Phoenix 13 years ago with his mother, Mrs. Lucy Largo. Other survivors are three brothers, Jack, John, Jr., and Edward, all of Phoenix. AZ Republic 14 Jan 1960.

LAVAGNINI, Ralph

Funeral services for Ralph Lavagnini, 67, a showman who died Monday, January 11, 1960, in a Phoenix hospital, were in the Chapel of Memories, A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary. Place of burial is undecided. Mr. Lavagnini resided at 325 W. Washington. He is survived by a brother, Alex, Oakland, California. AZ Republic 7 January 1960.

LEE, Jacob David

J. David Lee, 70, widely-known Safford Valley rancher and farmer, died yesterday of a heart attack in the Safford Inn Hospital in Safford. Mr. Lee was a life-long Gila valley resident. He was credited with helping bring the recently launched Frye Creek-Stockton Wash watershed project to the area. He had attended a project meeting Tuesday. Mr. Lee is survived by his wife, Ella; two daughters, Annice PHILLIPS, Thatcher, and Mona LARSON, Solomon; a son, Ewart Lee, Thatcher. 21-23 January 1960

LEON, Daniel

Rosary for Daniel Leon, 9, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Leon, Glendale, was in Whitney Murphy Funeral Home. Requiem high mass was in SS Simon and Jude Catholic Church. Burial in St. Francis Cemetery. The child died Jan. 25, 1960, at St. Joseph's Hospital. A fourth grade student at SS Simon & Jude School, he was born in Florence. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Margaret; brother, Frank, Jr.; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Leon, Mesa, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lopez, Florence. 26 January 1960
