Rosary was recited in the Whitney and Murphy chapel for Mrs. Edna Ferris Elias, 61, who died Monday, Jan. 18, 1960, in her home. Solemn requiem high mass was sung in St. Agnes Catholic Church. Entombment in St. Francis Mausoleum. Born in Baskinta, Lebanon, Mrs. Elias came to Phoenix in 1912 from Lowell, Massachusetts. She was a member of the Cedar Club of Arizona and Emblem Club No. 301. She is survived by her husband, Richard M., Sr.; five sons, Richard M., Jr., Leo, George, Thomas, and Joe, all of Phoenix; a daughter, Mrs. William Romley, Phoenix; three brothers, Joseph F. Ganem, San Springs, Oklahoma, John P. Ganem, Louisville, Kentucky, and James F. Ganem, Phoenix; three sisters, Elsie F. Ganem, Sonora, Mrs. Joe F. Jordan, Jr., Phoenix, and Mrs. William Winit, Beverly Hills, Calif.; and 21 grandchildren. The AZ Republic 20 Jan 1960.

ELLIS, William Albert

Funeral services for William Albert Ellis, 59, who died Saturday, January 16, 1960, in St. Luke's Hospital, were in Memory Chapel of A. L. Moore & Sons Mortuary. The Rev. J. W. Black officiated. Burial in Mesa Cemetery. Mr. Ellis, a retired Los Angeles police officer, came to Phoenix 16 years ago from New Mexico and operated a dump truck service here. He is survived by his wife, Maude; two sons, William A., Jr., and Jerry Lee, Phoenix; two sisters, Beatrice Ellis, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Albert Schwartz, Southgate, California; three brothers, Jack, Los Angeles, Robert, Camas Valley, Oregon, and Leslie, Portland, Oregon, and seven grandchildren. 18 January 1960.
