In the name of God, Amen. I William Bilbo of Mercer County and state of Kentucky being in a perfect state of mind and memory but feeling the dissolution of my mortal body approaching. I deem it essential to make constitute and ordain this as my last Will and testament. First I recommend my soul to God who gave it, and my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my friends.

As to my worldly possessions I dispose of them in the following manner (To Wit)

I give and bequeath to my son JOHN BILBO and his Heirs forever the Tract of land of one hundred and twenty five acres on which I now live together with such other property as he has heretofore received of me.

I give and bequeath to my Seven Daughters viz.: Martha Pennington, Elizabeth Brumfield, Sarah Davis, Susanna Gray, Mary Bilbo, Rebekah Overstreet & Tabitha Hamner and their heirs forever all the property they have received of me together with one half of the clear profits of the land I claim in Fleming County (if any there be) after all controversies with adverse claimants are legally settled.

I give the balance of my property of every description to be sold after my death & that my son Archibald Bilbo receive Twenty pounds of the proceeds of the sale, for money advanced by him in furnishing the land on which Henry Hamner now lives & on which land Archibald formerly lived; which land I gave him to be on an equality with my son John.

The balance of the proceeds of said sale to be divided amongst all my children share & share alike. I nominate my sons Archibald Bilbo & John Bilbo as Executors of this my last Will & Testament.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 13th day of October 1821

Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Nancy Bottom my track of land on which I now live during her natural life or widowhood also my 3 negroes Maly, Peter Jane, and Phill together with one horse, saddle and bridle to be worth thirty pounds in cash. Two feather beds and furniture also one half of the other household and kitchen furniture also four choice cows four ewes and lambs, twenty choice hogs and the corner cupboard and all plantation utencils during her natural life, or widowhood and at her marriage or death the same to be sold and the money seven eights of which to be divided equally among my three sons vis Robert, William, and Mury Sannders Bottom and my four daughters vis Rebecca, Elizabeth, Nancy, and Sally and the one eighth to my three grandchildren and their brothers and sisters forever, being the child of William I (or J) Salle my son-in-law and my daughter Polly Salle his wife.

Item, I give and bequeath to my son Robert Bottom that tract of land which I bought of Jeremiah Brisco containing 90 acres. Also an equal share of my other property that is not herein disposed of.

Item, I give and bequeath to my son Mury Sanders Bottom the track of land in which I now live on at the death or marriage of my wife Nancy Bottom for him and his heirs forever.

Item, track of land lying on Blackfords Creek be sold and the money arising there from be divided in the following manner. Viz........ four-fifths to be equally divided among my four daughters. To wit, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Nancy, and Sally and the one-fifth to my grandchildren. Namely Nancy, John, and Elizabeth Salle and their brothers and sisters if there should be any. They being the children of William I (or J) Salle my son-in-law and my daughter Mary his wife and also I give to my four daughters Rebecca, Elizabeth, Nancy, and Sally an equal share of all my other property that is not herein disposed of and to my son and daughter, William & Polly children one-eighth part of all my property not herein dispsed of for them and their heirs forever.

Item, I give and bequeath to my three youngest children namely Nancy, Mury Sanders, and Sally one horse and saddle each to be worth 20 pounds each which they are to receive at the time hereinafter mentioned to wit, Nancy & Salley to receive theirs at the age of 15 and Mury Sanders to receive his at the age of 17 years also 20 pounds cash each out of my estate for their maintainance and schooling.

Item, I desire that all my other property at my death should be sold and the money arising therefrom to be divided in the following manner. To wit, 7/8 to be equally divided among my seven children. Viz Robert, William, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Nancy, Sanders, and Sally, share and share alike and the 1/8 of which to be equally divided among the children of William Salle and Polley his wife for them and their heirs forever.

Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter Polly Salle 10 pounds cash to her and her heirs forever.

Item, I give to my son Job Brumfield after the marriage or death of my Daughter Tabetha Brumfield the tract of land whereon I now live containing by estimation 70 acres to be freely possessed and enjoyed by him and his heirs forever.

The balance of my Estate I desire shall be equally divided between my son William Brumfield, James Brumfield, my daughters Edah Prewit, Susan Richardson, Mary Prewit, Elizabeth Mitchel, Sarah Brumfield, Rachel Minor and Tabethia Brumfield and my son Job Brumfield in the following manner, viz...

My Executors to divide the said personal estate in so many lots without any inventory or sale of the estate as equally as possible and each Legatee to have a right to bid for said lotts and the lotts which falls to each of them to be freely possessed and enjoyed by them & their heirs forever.

John A. Lancaster and his wife, Lucy Proctor and his children: Johnson, James H. and wife Axie are buried in the Keene Cemetary. The Keene Cemetary is 1/4 mile north of Keene on the Nicholasville-Versailles highway on a rise about 50 yards west of that road.

The following is John A. Lancaster's Will.

"I, John A. Lancaster of Mercer County and State of Kentucky being of sound and disposing mind do make and publish this my last will and testament.

First it is my wish that after my death that my body be decently intered and all my just debts be paid.

2 I have heretofore provided for and given to my son William E. Lancaster as much of my estate as I intend him to have.

3 It is my will and desire and do hereby will and bequeath that all my estate property real personal and at my death be equally divided between my following children to wit Merit P. Lancaster, Richard Lancaster, Lewis Lancaster, James Lancaster and Johnson Lancaster to have and to hold the Same forever. Should either of my above named children to whom I have devised my estate die before my death then I desire the child or children of Such of my deceased Son or Sons to represent his or their Father or Fathers and to have Such part of my estate as my deceased Son or Sons would have taken had he or they lived until my death having disposed of all my estate with which it has pleased the Almighty to bless me I now nominate and appoint my Sons Merit Lancaster and Johnson Lancaster my executors to carry the above will into effect in testimony whereof I have Set my hand and affixed my Seal this 3 day of December 1851"
