The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Strichen, 1748-1819, Page 62/36 "December 8 (1772) William Cheyne (9649) & Margaret Watt (9650) in the Village had a Daughter baptised & named Elisabeth (9651) Witnefses William Paterson & George Aden both there”.1
