About 1881. James Marr (16396) was the apparent illegitimate son of Barbara Cheyne (16395). They were found together on a passenger list bound for the USA in 1883.1

Barbara Cheyne was found on a passenger list, dated 5 June 1883, at New York, New York, USA. Also present was their son James Marr. They were on a list of steerage passengers aboard the Servia out of Liverpool, England and Queenstown, Ireland. They both boarded in England and their permanent destination was the USA. They appear to have been traveling together, as they had a combined three pieces of luggage. She was 19, a spinster and English. He was two years of age and English.1
