Julius Cheyne and Charles August Cheyne were listed as children in the household of Charles Cheyne and his wife, Helen Cheyne on the 1881 Scotland Census, at 20 Hadden Street, in Aberdeen, Old Machar Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland.3

Charles Cheyne, Julius Cheyne, Joanna Cheyne and Adeline Cheyne were listed as children in the household of Charles Cheyne on the 1891 Scotland Census, at 1 Grandhome, Woodside, in Aberdeen, Old Machar Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. He was 10, born in Woodside, and a scholar.4

Julius Cheyne was listed on the 1901 Scotland Census at Shop and Warehouse, in Auchindoir Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. He was listed as a servant in the household of Alexander MacIntosh, tailor and merchant. He was 20 years of age, born in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and a general merchant's assistant.5

Julius Cheyne was found on a passenger list, dated 24 June 1904, at New York, New York, USA. He was on a Manifest of Alien Passengers aboard the Patricia, out of Boulogne-Sur-Mar. He was 24 years of age, a stovemaker and native of Scotland of Scotch nationality. His last address was in Liverpool and his destination was Toronto. He listed no relative in Scotland or England. He was detained, but was released the following day.6

Julius Cheyne married Isabella Gunn Ross 28 October 1916, in Sarnia, Lambton, Ontario, Canada. He was 35 years old, a bachelor, a marine oiler, was born in Aberdeen and resided in Sarnia. His parents were confirmed to be as recorded herein.7

He was employed by the Imperial Oil Company.8

Julius Cheyne died 22 February 1955.9
