BULGER, HAUN, SMITH -
Need parents of John Morgan Smith, b. 10 March 1828 in Virginia (possibly Rockbridge), m. Bath County 24 October 1850 to Sarah Ellen Bulger, b. 11 July, 1834 in Shenandoah Co., daughter of William and Sophia Haun Bulger. John died May or June 1907, Sarah died March 1920. John was a farmer and owned a sawmill on his property in Salt Peter Cave near Eagle Rock in Botetourt Co. Children: Andrew J., William Edward, Elizabeth Catherine, Charles Hudson, Julia Ann, Mary Margaret, James B. M., Silas Lorenza, Henry Morgan. John and Sarah are buried at Gala, VA.

Need parents of Spicey Scott b. in Botetourt Co. who mar. Isaac Barker (b. Buckingham Co. 1782). They moved to today's Boone County (W)Va where Spicey died in 1852. Was she the daughter of Joseph Scott of Buckingham Co. VA?

GWALTNEY -
Looking for info on my father, John Cline GWALTNEY. DOB: December 10, 1892(?). According to 1921 census, he lived in Botetourt County, VA. Son of M & Z GWALTNEY. Had brother named William GWALTNEY. He left home for work when I was 2 years old in 1930. Never returned home. He worked for Virginia Bridge and Iron Company. When did he die? How did he die? Do I have relatives? Trying to sort out relatives -- Botetourt Co. deed bk 35, pg 656, deed of gift between Ann F. Lockett and Sarah Graves Dunnavant, dated 1868, says: Ann, for love, affection and the great attention from Sarah in Ann's declining years and for the $250 Sarah provided to Ann and family, gives Sarah 80 acres of land. Witnesses are Emmett [T.] Mason and Matthew H. Bowyer. Who is Ann? Is Sarah the Sarah G. who is daughter of William Dunnivant and Elizabeth Lockett? Help!!

I need more info about Bettie SWITZER listed as an unmarried aunt (age 80) in the household of John KEESEAR in the 1900 census Buchanan District. Was she the daughter of James SWITZER and Mary HAGINS (daughter of Peter HAGINS) who married in 1815 in Botetourt Co? Searching for info on the Samuel and Elizabeth (Pendleton) family. Found Botetourt Co. 1830-1850. Migrated to Mercer Co. WV prior to the 1860 census. Elizabeth is believed to have died circa. 1870, Samuel remarried a Ellen Blankenship late 1871. Any assistance would be appreciated.
