Given name appears in many variations, some attempts at Isabeau, others attempts at Sibille. The only other Sibille in the early records at Annonay, and with the same uncertain spellings, is Sibille Floreton, wife of Pierre Johannot, thus inferred to be the daughter of Zacharie Floreton and Sibille Valenson. The surname Valenson is also spelled in many different ways. A Fran�ois Valanson was the Secr�taire of the reformed church of Annonay in 1639, and either maintained or copied a Registre Mortuaire and a register of marriages, with entries from 1639-1667 (BSHPF, MS 937, some later entries in a different hand), during the course of which he identifies a number of his relatives.
Identified as the daughter of Benjamin Valier in the genealogy of the B�goz family, and, from the dates, we have no hesitation of placing her here. In the version published in the Recueil des G�n�aligies Vaudoises, she is identified as the grand-daughter of Esther Tillier, daughter of the Baillif of Nyon, which is consistent with what is known of the family of Benjamin Valier.
Birthdate estimated from first mention in notarial records (1584), apparently as an adult. As of 1583, he is noted at 55 Rue Louis de Savoie in Morges (cadastral data, from internet site). It is possible that the name of his wife has been misread, or else that he married again. His wife Gasparde appears at a baptism in Gimel 25 sep 1603. He is noted as Chatellain d'Allemand in 1610. Records of his estate mention two heirs, his daughter Antheine and his son Imbert, so he was probably not the father of the Jeanne Valier who married Benjamin Favre.
His marriage contract was recorded 23 jan 1586 by Jean Barral, notary at Morges (FHL microfilm #0896233). It gives the parentage of both bride and groom, and notes presence of her brother, the notary Michel DuTruict.
He made a "reconnaissance" for property at Aubonne 24 apr 1621, at which point he was Ch�telain d'Allamand.
A reconnaissance by his heirs (ACV Fh 176bis, fol. 928v, 13 nov 1633) is incomplete, lacking the complete description of the heirs. It names as the first heir his son Imbert, and, second, an unnamed daughter who was the wife of Benjamin B�goz. Later in the document, there is a mention of "partages faictz entre iceulx Valier frere et soeur", thus strongly implying that there were only two heirs. Further, these two heirs appear to be children of different mothers, so the reconnaissance of 1633 must refer to paternal properties, and therefore would not be expected to exclude from mention any half-siblilngs of Imbert and Anteine.

Terriers of Aubonne cite a transaction of 16 jun 1622 in which Pierre Valier participates in a settlement with the heirs of the late Benjamin Valier, his brother.
A register of the notary Jean Michel Rueys of Nyon contains an item dated 12 aug 1651 that concerns Pernette Coinsin, wife of Discret Gamaliel Valier, whose uncles are Estienne and Gabriel Favre of Aubonne. We have not yet discovered the identity of these uncles.
Still a minor in 1633, when his guardian was Pierre Valier. The first time he is mentioned is 22 mar 1623, in the terriers of Aubonne, as one of the two heirs of Benjamin Valier, with his guardian Reymond Favre bourgeois and notary of Aubonne. Since Imbert is not mentioned in the proceedings regarding the succession of Esther Tillier, mother of Benjamin Valier's wife Gasparde Sordet, it seems likely that he was a son of Benjamin's next wife, Jeanne Fran�oise Badel. (The other heir was Antheine, wife of Benjamin B�goz.)
Testament dated 09 feb 1742 (Augustin Dessel, notary) names his wife Estienne Marie Vouchy, eldest son G�d�on, and remaining children Jean Louis, Catherine Susanne, Marie, Louise Fran�oise, and Isaac Fran�ois.
