5. JOHN WOODSON (3) (John-2, John-1), born abt 1655, of Curles, Henrico Co., married about 1677, Mary Tucker, daughter of Samuel Tucker, master of the ship the Vine Tree, and his wife Jane Larcombe who married (2) John Pleasants.


John (3) Woodson and his family were Quakers and he was a wheelwright by occupation.
He and his wife conveyed, 1 Oct 1691, 50 acres which Mary had inherieted, for the creation of a town at Bermuda Hundred. His will, 10 Dec 1699-1 May 1700, named his wife and children. His widow's will, 24 Sept. 1709-1 Aug. 1710, named children and grandchildren.

16. Jane (4) married her father's first cousin 14. Joseph (3) Woodson;
17. Samuel (4), named with sister Jane in grandfather's will, died young; 18.
Joseph (4) born about 1685, died after 4 April 1752 when he conveyed land to his grandson, married (1) Jan. 1706/7, Mary Sanbourne, daughter of Daniel Sanborne of Isle of Wight County, (2) by 2 Feb 1718/9, Elizabeth Scott, and (3) by 1 Oct 1724, Elizabeth Murrey, daughter of John Murrey of Isle of Wight County;
19. Samuel Tucker, chose guardian, 1 May 1710, unmarried, left will 9 Dec 1717-7 July 1718, 20. Benjamin (4), chose guardian, Feb. 1710/11, moved to Fluvanna County, left will 25 Oct 1777-3 Sept. 1778, married 46. Frances (4) Napier (see ROYALL), born 5 Feb 1694/5, living 1777."
