There has been much speculation about the wife (or wives) of Jasper Gunn. In various records she is named Ann or Christian. On 25 April 1641 Jasper and wife, Mary, were admitted to the church in Milford, CT, having been dismissed from the church in Hartford, CT. Mary's name appears on the stone on the Memorial Bridge in Milford. However, Christian Gunn, widow, left a will in which she named all of the same children Jasper Gunn mentioned in his will. The wills are recorded in the Probate Court in New Haven, CT. The early New Haven records need to be explored again.
In WFT, Vol. 27, Pedigree 2931, the submitter has Christian's surname as Baldwin and names parents, Richard Baldwin and Isabel Harding. No proof is offered. Also was noted a 2d marriage to Mary, last name unknown.
Birth estimated from a record (by Hotten) that she was aged 25 on 18 July 1635.

Old gravestone in the Leidy Cemetery reads "Hana Leidisin" with the year reportedly 1778. A drawing of the gravestone on the following page shows the year to be 1776. This is assumed to be the wife of Jacob. There is another gravestone reading Elisabet Leadisin, 15 October 1764.
Birth of first child occurred in 1719, so 1718 assumed as date of marriage. There may have been additional children born to this couple.
Perhaps Elizabeth was a sister of Bridget, wife of John Parmenter of Bures Saint Mary, later of New England. The Lokers and Parmenters both came to New England and settled in Sudbury. Two pairs of sisters named Bridget and Elizabeth were baptized at Bures Saint Mary at the right time. John Simpson had Bridget baptized in 1585/6 and Elizabeth in 1588. William Perry had Elizabeth baptized in 1586/7 and Bridget in 1593.
Henry's widow, Elizabeth, and her four children went to New England in 1639 and settled in Sudbury, where she died in 1648.
They may have been married in a nearby parish, or perhaps in Bures Saint Mary between 1602 and 1609, for which period there are no marriage records there.
Elizabeth may have been the sister of Bridget, wife of John Parmenter of Bures Saint Mary, later of New England.
