I would like to know anything on the surnames I listed. These surnames are in the Wicomico County, Willards area of Maryland. My great grandmother was Laura Catherine COFFIN and her husband was Rufus TRUITT. Both were born Dec. 5th, but in different years. They are buried in New Hope Cemetary in Willards, Maryland, along with their daughter (my grandmother) Esther TRUITT. Esther supposedly married an unrelated TRUITT and had 3 girls named Mildred, Margie And Josephine. She died at age 26. I am trying to find info on my grandfather, her husband, who was supposedly also named Rufus (no relation). According to the little info I have, Rufus and TRUITT were very common names. Any info would be appreciated. I have seen the name BRITTINGHAM linked to the TRUITT family also, so am now inquiring in this area.

I think my ancestor, Samuel B. REDDISH, came from Wicomico County or Somerset County, MD. Around 1800, he migrated to Warren County, GA where he married Susan ? and had several daughters. I descend from one of these daughters, Loucretia. Samuel married Mary Polly Ansley in 1819. Any info would be appreciated. Ray Holt.

I was given some information that would indicate that my ggg-grandpa, Isaac HOPKINS, is originally from Wicomico Co, MD. If so, he moved first to OH and later into IN (by 1835). Isaac may have had at least 4 brothers (Richard, John, Samuel and David) and his dad was Robert HOPKINS. Family history has it that Isaac and his family (he had a son named George) lived in DE prior to moving west. Does anyone have any information on where Isaac's family came from? VA? And where did his brothers go (none recorded as having went with him west).
