     Eric William Judd was born in 1919 at Middlesex, England; and his birth was recorded at Brentford Registration district in the June quarter 1919.1 He was the son of Albert Richard Judd and Caroline Richardson.1 Eric William Judd lived on 29 September 1939 at Netherbury Road, Ealing, Middlesex, England; where he was on the 1939 Register.3 He married Hilda Wright in 1944 at Middlesex, England; and their marriage was recorded at Brentford Registration district in the December quarter 1944.4

Eric William Judd died on 10 February 1945; during World War II and The Commonwealth War Graves Commission provide the following information:

'Country: United Kingdom Locality: Middlesex Location Information: The cemetery, belonging to the Ealing and Old Brentford Burial Board, was laid out in 1861, and covers 21 acres. It is on the road from Ealing and South Ealing railway station to Brentford. It contains scattered War Graves, including that of a Belgian soldier; and a War Cross is erected, backed by a screen wall bearing the names of whose graves are not marked by headstones. No. of Identified Casualties: 184'.2,5,6,7,8

His estate was probated on 16 May 1945; and the 1945 National Probate Calendar records that he was of '53 Netherbury-road Ealing Middlesex'; he died 'on war service' and Administration was granted at Llandudno to 'Hilda Judd widow.9'

     Clara Bremeyer was born in 1858 at Westminster, London, England; and her birth was recorded at Westminster St Margaret Registration district in the March quarter 1858.1,4 She married George Philbrook, son of John Philbrick and Ann Glasscock, on 17 April 1887 at St Michael, Camberley, Surrey, England; and Clara Burnell was a widow of 30 years (her son William Burnell born c 1885 lived with the family in 1901 and 1911). Their marriage was recorded at Farnham Registration district in the June quarter 1887. He was a 49 year old widower, Gas Fitter, son of John Philbrook and she was the daughter of Robert Bremeyer, Builder, and both were of Yorktown.1,5,6 Clara Bremeyer appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at 543 Kings Road, Fulham, London, England, as Wife, age 42, birthplace Westminster, London, and she worked with her husband on her own account at home as a Wardrobe dealer.1 She was listed as a Wardrobe Dealer in the Post Office London County Suburbs Directory, 1904. She didn't like the heat and flies and went straight back to London. My Uncle visited her in her house in Cheam Surrey.9' Clara Bremeyer and Florence Clara Philbrook lived in 1939 at 3 Priory Road, Epsom, Surrey, England; where they appeared on the Surrey Electoral Register.10 Clara Bremeyer died on 5 January 1953 at Surrey, England; and her death was recorded at Surrey Mid Eastern Registration district in the March quarter 1953.11,12 Her estate was probated; and The 1953 National Probate Calendar records Clara Philbrook was 'of 3 Priory-road Cheam Surrey widow died 5 January 1953 Probate London 17 February to Edward Charles Burnell retired maintenance engineer and general repairer' (Edward Charles Burnell's birth was recorded at Wandsworth in the March quarter 1880).12,13

He was a 29 year old Batchelor and Clerk, son of Richard Knight Patching, Blacksmith. She was a 21 year old Spinster and daughter of George Philbrook, Engine Tuner.4,5 May Gertrude Philbrook emigrated to Australia via The Cape, departing on 17 September 1913, and is recorded as Mrs May G Patching, a Passenger Leaving UK in 1914 sailing on P. & O. Line's Borda, from London, England, to Sydney, Australia, born c 1891.6,7 She is remembered affectionately by her niece when she visited: 'I remember Aunty May hugging me everytime she saw me.      Arthur Ernest Philbrook was born on 10 November 1892 at Chelsea, London, England; and his birth was recorded at Chelsea Registration district in the December quarter 1892.1,2,3 He was the son of George Philbrook and Clara Bremeyer.1 Arthur Ernest Philbrook appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at 543 Kings Road, Fulham, London, England, as Son, age 8, birthplace Chelsea, London.1 He emigrated from London, England, to Australia, and he appears to be the A E Philbrook, born c 1893, who is recorded as a passenger leaving the United Kingdom, who sailed to Sydney in 1912.4,5 He was listed in The Australian Electoral Rolls at Reid and Robertson Districts after 1912 at New South Wales, Australia.6 'Arthur was an ANZAC and lost an arm' fighting in the Great War. 'He went to Gallipoli and I have this large medal that he was given' writes his Granddaughter. He was photographed on an ANZAC Day March in Wyong and is 'in the middle of the front row'. His Service Number was N388825, he enlisted at Kensington, New South Wales, and gave his Sister May Gertrude Patching as his next of kin. The WWI Nominal Roll records him as '868 Pte. Philbrook, Arthur Ernest, 1st Battalion, 31.8.1914, R.T.A., 5.7.1915'.

The Australian War Memorial website contains the following: 'First World War Embarkation Rolls: Arthur Ernest Philbrook. Service Number: 868. Rank: Private. Roll title: 1 Infantry Battalion (October 1914). Conflict: First World War, 1914-1918. Date of embarkation: 18 October 1914. Place of embarkation: Sydney. Ship embarked on: HMAT Afric A19'.7,8,9,10,11

He married Sabina Hyde in 1917 at Annadale, New South Wales, Australia.4,12 Arthur Ernest Philbrook and Sabina Hyde lived in 1930 at Edenhurst, Highland Avenue, Punchbowl, New South Wales, Australia; where he was on the Electoral Roll as a Lift Driver, while she had Home Duties.13 Arthur Ernest Philbrook died on 15 November 1969 at Wyong, New South Wales, Australia, at age 77; and his death was announced in the Sydney Morning Herald two days later.14,15,16 He was cremated at Beresfield Crematorium, New South Wales, Australia.17,18

     Florence Clara Philbrook was born on 10 September 1895 at Fulham, London, England; and her birth was recorded at Fulham Registration district in the December quarter 1895.1,3,4 She was the daughter of George Philbrook and Clara Bremeyer.1 Florence Clara Philbrook appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at 543 Kings Road, Fulham, London, England, as Daughter, age 5, birthplace Fulham, London.1 She and Clara Bremeyer lived in 1939 at 3 Priory Road, Epsom, Surrey, England; where they appeared on the Surrey Electoral Register.5 Florence Clara Philbrook died on 19 December 1963 at St Helier Hospital, Carshalton, Surrey, England, at age 68; and her death was recorded at Surrey North Eastern registration office in the December quarter 1963.6,7 Her estate was probated on 28 February 1964; and the 1964 National Probate Calendar records she was 'of 3 Priory Road Cheam Surrey' and Probate was granted at London 'to Lydia Barrett widow.8'
