     James Hone was christened on 28 April 1771 at St Lawrence, Chobham, Surrey, England.1 He was the son of Henry Hone and Ann Bartholomew.1 James Hone married Hannah Daborn, daughter of William Daborn and Elizabeth Russell, on 29 May 1792 at St Mary, Thorpe, Surrey, England; and they were both of the Parish.2,3 James Hone left a will on 1 December 1836; James Hone of Windlesham, yeoman 1 Dec 1836 all my freehold messuage (now two tenements) in Windlesham in the occupation of Thomas North and ...... to my wife Hannah Hone; all my personal estate to Richard Hudson of Bagshot, Windlesham grocer and John Barfoot of Chobham, baker, exec. in trust to sell same and pay intrest to my wife for life and then to my son in law George Church and then for children of Sarah Church late wife of said George at 21 for sons and at marriage or 21 for daughters and residue to my three daughters the eldest Elizabeth Lunn wife of John Lunn, Hannah Williams wife of Richard Williams and Mary Hone.      George Philbrook was born on 4 December 1866 at Sydenham, Kent, England; and his birth was recorded at Lewisham Registration district in the March quater 1867.2,1,3 He was the son of George Philbrook and Jane Kilby.1 George Philbrook was baptized on 3 February 1867 at St Peter and St Paul, Mitcham, Surrey, England.4 He appeared on the census of 3 April 1881 at Railway Road, Teddington, Middlesex, England, as George Filbrook, Visitor, age 16, birthplace Norwood, Surrey, and he was a 'Waiter - Inn Servant.5' He enlisted in the Kings Royal Rifle Corps, Regimental number 1916 at age 18, birthplace Sydenham, Surrey in 1884.6 He married Mary Ann Smith on 16 July 1893 at St John, Chelsea, London, England; and their marriage after Banns were read was recorded at Chelsea Registration district in the September quarter 1893. He was 26 years of age and she was 18 years of age. George and Clara Philbrook were the witnesses.7,8 George Philbrook appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at 115 Ledenhall Street, London, England, as Head, married, age 34, birthplace London City and he was a Gas Fitter. His Regiment's Name was the 15th Battalion Kings Royal Rifle Corps, Regimental Number: 7798.
