Oris G. "Fuzz" Waggoner 81 Oblong, died Monday February 25, 2001 in Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, Indiana. Oris was born in Hardinville, IL on January 21, 1921 and was the son of Nathan C. Waggoner and Francis Ellen (Doyle) Waggoner.
In 1958 he married Winifred "Winnie" Catt. He was a crane operator at Inland Steel in Gary, Indiana, a barber in Griffith, Indiana and in 1986 he retired as a janitor from Oblong Grade School. Oris was a member of Griffith Masonic Lodge #735 F & AM Griffith, Indiana. His hobbies included fishing, squirrel hunting, farming and watching baseball, especially involving his grandchildren.
Oris is survived by 4 sons and a daughter-in-law Dale Waggoner, Rod McClure, Scott & Diane McClure and Dwayne Waggoner; 4 daughters and sons-in-laws Gaythal & Richard Wesley, Barb & Ron Reynolds, Kathy Dusseau and Melinda & Tom Hill; 17 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Ralph & Lola Waggoner and Mart & Louise Waggoner; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Oris is preceded in death by his parents and 1 daughter-in-law Sachiko Waggoner.
Burial will be in Hardinville Cemetery.
