Jacqueline Joan "Jacky" Stewart, 72, of Palestine, IL, died at 1:22 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2007 at her residence. She was born October 18, 1934 in Newton, IL, the daughter of Dorryl Thompson and Ruby Patten Thompson.
She was a clerk at Gallo's Grocery for 15 years. She was a member of the Duncanville Baptist Church.
She married Don M. Stewart October 14, 1955 and he preceded her in death July 9, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Don and Lisa Stewart, Palestine, Dennis Dean and April Stewart, Newton; 3 grandchildren, Jacqueline E. Chlebowski, Robinson, Don Wesley Stewart, Flora, IL, and Kaycee Dawn Stewart, Palestine; 5 great grandchildren; 1 brother and sister-in-law, William and Diane Moade, Lawrenceville, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson, IL, with Pastor John Conover officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 28th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
