Zhanna E. Slaughter, 58 of Robinson, IL died at 7:31 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2004 following an auto accident on Illinois Route One, south of Gordon, IL. She was born July 15, 1945 in Ivanovo, Russia, the daughter of Efim and Elizoveta Elochkin. She was a teacher and interpreter.

She married Dr. Bernard F. Slaughter on May 20, 2002 and he died in the same accident. She is survived by her two sons, Sergey N. Zelenev and Yurii N. Zelenev, both of Robinson, IL; her brother, Boris E. Elochkin of Moscow, Russia. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 6th at Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Rev. Louis Youngs is in charge of services. Visitation is from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson prior to the graveside service.
