Mamie Rea Mays 101 of Brea, California died Wednesday April 10, 2002 at St. Jude Hospital in Fullerton, California. She was born May 11, 1900 in Annapolis, Illinois and was the daughter of Daniel I. Lingafelter and Rena (Lamb) Lingafelter. Mamie was a cafeteria supervisor for 25 years for the Brea Olinda School District. Mamie moved to California 67 years ago in 1935 and was a member of Faith Community Nazarene Church.
Mamie is survived by 2 daughters Bonnie R. Butler and Gloria Maestrejuan, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law Henrietta Lingafelter and several nieces and nephews, many of whom are in the Willow Hill, IL. area.
Mamie is preceded in death by her parents, 1 son Aden Duane ; 3 sisters and 8 brothers.
Burial in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, IL.
