Nellie M. Mason, 77 of Robinson, IL, died at 1:45 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2004, at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born March 11, 1927 in Robinson, the daughter of Fred Fitts and Emma Montgomery Fitts. She was a homemaker and a member of the Kathryn Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Nellie sold Avon for many years.
She married Jack W. Mason on September 8, 1947 and he preceded her in death on July 30, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Ralph Eugene Fitts, and her sister Sue Bailey.
She is survived by 2 daughters and her son-in-law, Mona Wait, Flat Rock and Rebecca and Brent Blackard, Mt. Juliet, TN; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Colleen Mason, Robinson; Dan and Debbie Mason, Racine WI, Larry Mason, Janesville, WI, 10 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Byrl Liston, Racine, WI, Alberta and Gene Ballew, Robinson, Patricia and Joe James, Herrin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 20th at 10:00 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Burial is in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 19th and until service time on Monday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, with envelopes at the funeral home.
