Hazel M. Jenkins, 88, Oblong, died about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at the Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong.

Born March 18, 1918, in Sperry, Oklahoma she was the daughter of Marlin Stanley Welch and Clara Catherine (Lobaugh) Welch. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Oblong First Christian Church. Her hobbies included handwork, embroidery, baking, cooking, gardening and her family.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Angie Jenkins, Jack and Cindy Jenkins, Randy and Sharon Jenkins; two daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and Everette Maxwell, and Sandy and Curtis Ross; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one son, Robert; two brothers, Muriel Welch and Gale Welch; and two sisters, Helen Williams and Edna Hamil.

Burial is in Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County.
