Avis Ferguson, 79, Willow Hill, Illinois died Wednesday February 9, 2005 at Burgin Manor, Olney, Illinois. Avis was born in Crawford County, Illinois on March 3, 1925. She was the daughter of William H. & Wilma (Stoltz) Miller. On July 31, 1941 Avis married Lewis D. "Lew" Ferguson and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2000. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Shiloh Christian Church, Willow Hill and the Hunt City Home Extension. Her hobbies included bowling, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Avis is survived by one son and daughter-in-law David & Carol Ferguson; two daughters and sons-in-law Linda & Dave Sheppard and Judy & Wes Bullard; six grandchildren John Ferguson, & Jarrett Weber, Stephanie & Mark Ritz, Joanna & Greg McCoy, Heather & Chad Yonaka and Hilary & Steve Bullard-Wirt; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother Dean Miller; one sister-in-law Mary Ferguson and several nieces and nephews
Avis is preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother Robert Lee Miller. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery, Rural Willow Hill, Illinois.
