Ray E. Everly, 63 of Robinson, IL died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, May 20, 2007 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL after a brief illness. He was born June 13, 1943 in Dugger, IN, the son of Chester Everly and Mary Ellen Cooper Everly.

Ray was employed at Hershey Candy Co. in Robinson, retiring in 2005 after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Highland Church of Christ and the Crawford County Ham Radio Operators Club.

He married Cheryl Hamilton on December 10, 1965 and she survives. He is also survived by his half-brother and sister-in-law, Kent and Karen Everly, South Bend, IN; his half sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Don Horvath, South Bend, IN; 2 cousins, Jim and his wife Carol Cooper, and Mike Cooper, all of Taft, Tn. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother, Bob Everly.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 24th at 10:00 a.m. (c.s.t.) at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Pastor Tom Buchanan is in charge of services. Burial is in the Dugger Cemetery, Dugger, IN with a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. (c.s.t.) Thursday. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 23rd at the funeral home.
