Leland W. Last, age 78, of 9188 Harris Rd., Lee Center, died Saturday, October 22, 1994, at his residence, after a brief illness. He was born September 30, 1918, in the Town of Albion, NY, the son of William and Pansey Tanner Last. Mr. Last attended Barber District School. On July 20, 1939 he married Marguerite Crossman in Perryville, NY. She died September 13, 1992. He was employed by Burns Security Service for several years, retiring in 1984, and had previously worked for several construction companies. Mr. Last was a member of the Taberg Historical Society and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by three sons, Roger T. Last, of Steuben, Marc L. Last of Westernville, and Allen E. Last of Lee Center, two sisters, Mrs. Amy Trumble of Central Square and Mrs. Fred (May) Jesmore of Ocala, Florida, one brothers, Elmer Last of Sandy Creek, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:30 am at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
