KEEVER

Does anyone know how Philip W. Keever died. He died soon after he married Susan Combs. For a time during 1870 (according to census), Philip was living with Josiah B. Perry and wife Olive and family. Census says he was employed at sawmill. Was that the sawmill owned by the Caldwells? Or the one established by Ezekial Dye? Could he have died at work? Philip was one of my great-grandfather's older brothers. Philip's parents lived in Center Twp. in Morgan County.

I found a biography (1 paragraph) about WILLIAM CAIN coming to Noble County from Pennsylvania, having nine children, one of which was NATHANIEL CAIN, born in Morgan Co. in 1826. He married REBECCA WILLEY in 1847, had 7 kids, one of whom was SARAH J. CAIN (lived in Olive). She eventually married Bates? Hmm...OSCAR CLYDE CAIN was her son - who was his father? My notes say OSCAR grew up at "Uncle" ELROY'S with SARAH JANE's sister. And, does anyone know how to track WILLIAM CAIN (Died 9 Oct 1859, and was in Revolutionary War) or his wife MARY MARQUIS (Died 15 July 1879. I have looked in Pennsylvania, and found several of that name, but do not know a birth date or parents.WILLIAM and MARY were both supposedly born in Sharon. Thanks again, Carolyn Cain
