HAGUE

In the family of Joseph Hague b 1806 and died in Noble Co in 1894 married to Barbara Yoho, there were three children that died in the same year. The year of their deaths were in 1861. The vital records does not have information for this early year and I can't seem to find the newpapers for that year in the Noble area. Would anyone know of a paper to research for the 1861 that might possibly state why three children would die in the same year? The names of the three were John R. Hague age 20, Joshua (Jehu, Jawhue) Hague, age 12 and Isaac Hague age 9. Any help would be appreciated.

BURRIS, CAIN, PECKINPAUGH, POLING, WILLEY, WOODS

I am trying to find more information on the Willey & Poling & Peckinpaugh families of Noble Co., OH. One connection I have found is Hattie Mae Willey m. Earnest Jefferson Pickenpaugh, 10 Aug 1901. Hattie Mae, b. 11 Dec 1879, in Sandwich, OH, d. 8 Mar 1829, buried Hoskinsville, OH. Hattie's parents were Curtis Willey & Mary Cain. The Willey's we are trying to connect to are: Lola Willey, wife of Wilbur Burris. (Lola, b. 16 Nov 1914 ) Lola's parents were Samuel Willey & EDNA POLING . Her siblings were Delmar Willey, Idela Willey & Opel Willey. Samuel's parents were Jefferson Willey & Idella Woods.. Would you have any information that might connect Curtis Willey to the other family?? A descendant of Curtis remembers Pickenpaugh/Willey reunions in Caldwell. His recollections include a cousin, Pat Peckinpaugh who "had a lot of children"... Any help in this search would be greatly appreciated. I have much on the Peckinpaughs, but nothing much on the Willeys, Cains, Woods, Burris' or the Polings.... Kind regards, Susan Bottom

WEST

My grandfather, William Milton West, appears with his mother, father and sibblings in the 1860 Noble County, Jefferson Twp. Census I can not find him or his family prior to 1860.His parents are John and Rosanna. Does anybody know which county Jefferson Twp. was in prior to the creation of Noble County. I think it was Monroe or Washington but am not sure.
