I am looking for any info you may have on William McDONALD b. Chester Co., S.C. ca. 1843 came to Marion Co Alabama ca. 1857 with mother Ellen and 3 other siblings. He served in the 32nd Al. Inf. His 2nd wife was Matilda Dees. He had a son John McDONALDmarried Mollie ROBISON 05/05/1892 in Lamar Co. Al. He may have been living in Monroe Co. at that time as this was his birthplace? He had another son they called "bud" that died around ca. 1938. John died 03/29/1939. Mollie died ca. 1922- 23. I know that John and Mollie are buried at the "old" Quincy cemetery and William is buried at the Hatley cemetery. They lived around the Hatley, Quincy area. John and his sons worked for Ira Crook. William Wayne LEWIS who was married to Hazel Priscilla DUPREY (d. ca. 1901, buried in Splunge, MS)and had 10 children: William, Walter, Rosco, Noah (b. 1/30/1867, d. 9/8/1934 in Glen Allen, AL) married Susan Josephine LEE and then later, Dolly Francis LEE, Lucinda, John, Ida, Elizabeth, Andrew, Alonzo, and then married Melvine ? and had another 2 children, Nannie and Dan. William fought in the Civil War for the South and shot off his big toe while loading his old gun in a trench. He also lost a brother in the civil war--- we think his name was Richard. According to family lore, he donated land in Splunge, MS (birthplace of his granddaughter and my g grandmother, Mary Eula LEWIS b. 5/16/1892 d. 11/16/1975) to a Methodist Church. I would love any information regarding William Wayne's family--- descendants & ancestors!

DAVIDSON, MEEK(S)

Guy Hugh Davidson 1907 MS to 1956 TN married about 1925 Durlene Meek (s). They had one daughter Wilma Bryan Davidson. Guy and Durlene divorced and Guy married again. We have lost touch with Durlene and Wilma. Durlene Meek was born in Monroe Co MS, parents were Ben Weeks and Miss Bryan. We think Durlene moved back to Monroe Co after the divorce and may have married again. We also do not know if she is still living. Would be in her 90s is she is living. We have no clue as to the whereabouts of Wilma Bryan Davidson. I have talked to some people in Monroe Co who thought they remembered the family but never got a reply from them. Would appreciate any information you may have on my cousins. Guy Hugh was my mother's brother.
