His name was given as William on the death record of son, Aaron.
These four men, Aaron, Ephriam, Solomon, and William, are ASSUMED to be brothers since they are the only Strickland, Stricklen, etc. families in Kanawha Co, VA before 1850. (per annotations to 1850 Kanawha Co, VA census, these families lived on Wills Creek.)
Rachel, Christina, and Stephen were apparently in the household of Ephriam Strickland in 1820 and 1830. They could be his children, nieces & nephew, etc.

DECLARATION FOR WIDOW'S PENSION
State of West Va."
County of Kanawha
On this 24th day of April, A. D. one thousand nine hundred and eight personally appeared before me, a notary publicc within and for the county and State aforesaid, Nancy J. Taylor, aged 62 years, a resident of Clendenin, county of Kaawha, State of W Va", who, being duly sworn according to law, makes the following declaration in order to obtain the pension under the provisions of the ACT OF CONGRESS, APPROVED APRIL 19, 1908.
That she is the widow of Stephen Taylor Jr", who was enrolled under the name of Stephen Taylor, Jr", at Spencer, W. Va, on the 18th day of Dec, 1861, as a private in Company GGG 9th W. Va" Vols", and was honorably discharged July 21"m 1865, having served ninety days or more during the late civil war.
That he was not in the militay or naval service of the United States otherwise than as stated above.
That she was married under the name Nancy J. Naylor to said soldier at near Clendenin, on the ...... day of Decc 23, 1868, by S. F. Smith; that there was no legal barrier to the marriage; that she had not been previously married; that the soldier had not been previously married, and that neither she nor said soldier married otherwise than as stated above.
That said soldier died Feb 1st, 1908, at Clendenin W.Va."; that she was not divorced from him, and that she has not remarried since his death.
That she has not heretofore applied for pension.
That her post-office address is Clendenin, county of Kanawka, State of West Va"
