If you are not yet a member of the Society, we invite you to attend one or more of the meetings, if feasible. If you wish to join, please download, complete and mail a membership application along with payment (US funds) for your choice of membership.Membership is effective for the current calendar year when dues are received and application for membership is presented. Collection and Disposition of Society Funds.
The Society survives on membership dues, volunteer work
of members, and funds collected from sales of books published in the name of the
Society (e.g., Acadia Parish Cemetery Listings; Funeral Record Abstracts) and
public donations. Funds in excess of expected operating funds are
typically transferred to the Acadia Parish Library system to improve the range
and depth of genealogical and historical research material available to the
public.
