Barnabas Horton was of record at Stanion, Northamptonshire in 1621/2 when he married Anne Smith of that place...
In Leicestershire Marriage Licenses, 1570-1729, Barnabas' 1621 marriage to Anne Smith of Stanyon was recorded in Bk 2, Folio 24 and 25....
Historical and Biographical Information about Barnabas Horton gives 1622 as the date of his marriage to Anne Smith of Stanion of Northamptonshire, England.
Barnabas's second marriage to Mary Langton of Wigston Magna, Leicestershire, is mentioned in the will of her mother in 1640. American Horton family traditions suggest that Barnabas with wife Mary and children Joseph and Benjamin came to New England between 1633 and 1638....

[12343] Dates for Hannah Horton are in question and need to be verified. She must have married at a very young age if her baptism was recorded in 1629. There is always the possibility that the baptism was recorded well after the fact. If Hannah and Anna were one and the same, then surely she was the child of Barnabas by his first wife, Anne Smith, and not the child of his second wife, Mary Langdon or Langton, as many researchers seem to think. At least one researcher uses the birthdate of 1651 for Hannah. Given the fact that she was a widow with four young children in 1657, this date seems far-fetched.
[15207] It would help to have the marriage record for Hannah Horton and Thomas Hildreth and appropriate records need to be searched. According to the speculation of Jane Hildreth Kelley in her recent article for Hildreth Highlights (Apr. 2003), the four children of Thomas and Hannah would have been born between 1643 and 1658. If the baptismal record for Hannah is correct, she would have been only 14 when the first child was born. My speculation would be that Hannah married at about age 16 (circa 1645) and had four children by Hildreth by 1657.
Hannah married Jonas Bower that same year and had at least two sons by him. Jonas died ca 1670/71 and by 1680 Hannah was named in her father's will as his eldest daughter, Hannah Trevale. Several sources show the spelling of his name as "Trevally".
Many of the early researchers did not have Hannah's last name and I believe they were speculating that her marriage to Trevale was her first, rather than her third marriage.
Barnabas Horton registered the baptism of his daughter Anna at Kimcott/Kincote, about 4 miles southwest of Mowsley (Parish Register read by author).....This would suggest that other researchers have assigned Anna/Hannah to the wrong wife.
Hannah ( --) (Hildreth) Bower was almost certainly Hannah (Horton) (Hildreth) (Bower) Trevally. The will of Barnabas Horton of Southold, dated 10 May 1680 .... mentions eldest daughter "Hannah Trevale." The inventory of Thomas Trevally was taken 13 Jan. 1687 but the court record does not give the first name of the widow......mentions Thomas Trevally as having been a successor to and in right of Jonah Bower, deceased...
Ltr dtd 13 Jan. 1992: Will of Barnabas Horton, dtd 1671, named his daughter, Hannah Trevale (or Trevally). Southampton Town Records show that Thomas Trevally drew lot 5 "as successor to and in right of Jonas Bower, deceased." Thomas was successor as he was now the husband of Jonas Bower's widow.

Joseph, born about 1578, was the father of Barnabas Horton, the immigrant to New England.
Joseph died before 12 June 1696, which was probably the date of inventory of his estate. He owned many parcels of land in Southold in 1653, as shown by the town records. Prior to 1665 he was a resident of Rye, then in the jurisdiction of Connecticut. The records of Connecticut Colony show that he was a confirmed Lieutenant of the train-band of Rye in 1667 and that he was chosen commissioner for Rye 1681-1683.

Along with her sister Venita, she was adopted by the Clyde L. Crommett family as Gloria Dawn Crommett. In 1974, her mother's obituary calls her Gloria McFarland, of Fletcher, NC.

There is a long and very informative obituary in the Madera Tribune, 18 apr 1928, p. 4.
While she is called June in the 1930 census, she is apparently the Jane Hart of Stillwell, OK mentioned in her mother's obituary in 197a

His draft registration card, 1942, in Fresno, California, specifies that his name is L V Hoskins, "no name" written in parentheses next to each of the initials apparently at the time the card was filled out. He did not know his date of birth, had no family or friends to keep in touch with. However, the California death index gives an exact date of birth, so some record of his birth must have been found.

Internet sources seem to indicate that she was adopted by Clyde L. Crommitt and his wife Edwinnie, or else considered their foster child, under the name Susan Venita Crommitt or Venita Albright. She is found in the Crommitt household in the 1940 census (Loma Linda, San Bernardino Co., California), age 10, born in Arizona. Her (adoptive) parents at that time were 64 and 58 years old. Also in the household was "Gloria Dawn Crommitt", age 14, born in Colorado, who we suppose was Venita's sister Dawn Hoskins, also adopted. (Clyde Leon Crommett was born in Iowa, 13 jan 1876 and died 08 jun 1950 at Loma Linda, California. He lived in the San Bermardino area from at least the 1920's. In the 1930 census of Loma Linda, San Bernardino Co., California, as Clyde L. Cromwelt age 54, with his wife Edwinnie age 48, this couple has no children.) The obituary notice for "Winnie" Crommett (Pacific Union Recorder, Seventh Day Adventist weekly, 17 dec 1956) says she was born in Osceola, Iowa 08 aug 1881, and died in Inglewood, California 25 may 1956, survived by her adopted daughter Mrs. Gloria Dawn McFarland, as well as foster children Ruth Tracy Dalgleish and Venita Albright. In her mother's obituary in 1974, Venita is listed as Venita Fries of San Bernardino.
