HOWE, Sarah, of Bandon, mother of Robert WALKER of Bandon and sheriff of Curry County, James Gibson WALKER. Sarah apparently came from Canada in the 1800s. Seeking exchange of information. WALKER, Robert at Bandon early in the 1900's, along with his mother, Sarah HOWE and her adopted son, Frank HOWE. Robert's brother, James Gibson WALKER was sheriff of Curry County. I am looking for the following families: Mike and Elda (TERVOLA) POTHOFF and Richard and Vivian (TERVOLA) RITTER. The facts which I know about Elda are that she lived in Coos Bay, Oregon in 1951 and that she died in 1986. The facts I know about Vivian are that she was born on October 11, 1914 in Otter Tail County, Minnesota. She lived in North Bend, Oregon in 1951. She died in May, 1993. I am looking for information regarding William Edward BERNITT (b 1856 Holstein, Germany) who married Elize Margarethe HILMER (b. 1856 Holstein, Germany) Feb 3, 1883 in Coos County. They had 5 children: Nellie, Will, Jack, Sid, and Martha. Their daughter Nellie Freida BERNITT (b 11/29/1883 Marshfield, Coos, OR) married William Louis KOLM 6/22/1910 probably in Coos Bay, Coos, OR. Looking for information about a family that got separated around the 1940's. Father's name was Lloyd William SMITH, Sr. I know at the time they were sent out to different foster homes they were living in Charleston, Oregon. The foster homes were in Coquille, Oregon. Kid's names were James "Jimmy", Lloyd, Bob, Chuck, Don, Donna and possibly another twin girl whose name is unknown. Chuck and Don got adopted by STERRETTS who were living in Coquille at the time. Lloyd and Donna never got adopted, and Bob was adopted by last name of BELL possibly in Myrtle Point. All kids were located except Jimmy and the other girl twin. Children now are 45-55 years of age. Any info would be helpful.

Looking for any info on John Templeton JENKINS who married Mollie W. HAYS in Coos Co. on 15 Oct 1882. Who were parents of John? Where was he born? Where did he emmigrate from? Also looking for info on John Templeton JENKINS' brother, William Seymour JENKINS. Family tradition says William moved to Redland CA and dropped the Jenkins name because of an incident in Oregon. Was this the W.S. JENKINS who married Mollie VOWELL in Coos Co. in 1881? And/Or was he the W.S. JENKINS who married Mrs. M. Morris SMITH in 1892? Appreciate any info on JENKINS surname in Coos Co., including any other brothers or sisters, aunts uncles.

I am looking for information on my GGfather, Andrew Benjamin MCNITT or his wife Julia Rose. He is buried in the Bandon IOOF or Bandon Ocean View cemetery, died in 1929. He was living in Bandon in 1910 and 1920. Somewhere between 1905 and 1910 he married Julia GREGORY who died 1951 and who had a son Julian b. abt 1902 and daughter Carmen, b. abt 1900. I don't know if he adopted the children or if they retained their father's last name. Andrew worked in lumber camps, as a blacksmith in 1910.
