Lura Hoff Wells
Lura Vaughn Hoff, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hoff, was born near
Mason, Ohio, on July 16, 1876, and departed this life at her home in Mason
on June 22, 1932, aged 55 years, 11 months, 6 days.
She was married to David Wells on April 15, 1915. Besides the husband
there are left to mourn their loss, four sisters, one brother, three nieces,
a number of cousins and a host of friends.
She had been a member of the Methodist Church since girlhood; was also
a member of the Ladies' Aid and Home Missionary Society, in which she
was an active worker as long as her health permitted. Her cheerful disposition
and willingness to aid others won the love of all who knew her.
She bore her suffering with the utmost patience. While hard to part with
one so dear we can only say, "Thy will be done O, Lord."
