I've included some information from the Hamilton Co., OH Public Library's catalog (publication date, author etc.) when the information was either absent or incomplete. The information listed may not be an exact source citation of the author as I don't own many of these books myself.  In many cases the book may have been published by or for the Hamilton County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogy Society (referred in the tables below as HCCOGS), or University of Cincinnati Libraries Archives and Rare Books Dept. (UC Libraries) & there may be individuals listed as the "compilers" or "editors". I could not in every case locate that information online to include the citation correctly. If you own one of these books & can help me out with some of that information to include here, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have also added a few publications that have been published in recent years, but may be out of print. In a few instances the Hamilton County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogy Society (HCCOGS) has some remaining copies as listed on their website along with some of their other publications & back issues of their quarterly "The Tracer" & both of their "First Families" publications. Barbara Keyser Gargiulo, the Hamilton County Chapter, OGS, Publications Director informs me (6/16/05) that the 4 volumes of the Abstracts of Probate Records are in the process of being indexed to be reprinted as 1 volume by year end. You may also contact Barbara if you are interested in reprints of other books that HCCOGS was involved with, be sure to note in your message that you are contacting her as the "Publications Director HCCOGS". Perhaps if enough individuals express interest we'll see more of  now out of print volumes again available! 6/27/07:  I have deleted all info  to to Frontier Press Bookstore, the website no longer seems to exist. It appears that Heritage Books now has some of the older books previously listed with Frontier Press, but also some of the books they (Heritage Press)  previously listed now appear to be out of print, so I have deleted them  as being "Available From".

Hamilton Co. OHGenWeb in no way endorses one publisher over the other, nor is this a complete listing of where these books may be found for purchase. Using Google to search for specific titles will yield additional results. I have included at the bottom of this page addresses for the publishers included here as listed on their websites should you wish to contact them directly.

This page has been added for your convience to let you know what materials are available that may help you with your research in Hamilton Co., OH. It is in no way a complete listing of all resources but attempts to list those books which you may still be able to obtain for your personal library.
