STAPLES - Henry Staples
and brothers were all born in the 1800-1810 decade in Virginia.
In the 1810 VA census, William of Amherst and William of King
George were the only Staples with 3 males under 10. Other information
eliminates William of King George as their father. Would appreciate
any info confirming Roland as a son of William Staples of Amherst.

MORRIS, PRYOR,
RAY, RHEA,
THOMPSON, WRAY
- I am looking for any information concerning Ezekiel RHEA/WRAY
or RAY who was in Botetourt Co., VA., in 1788. He received a land
grant of 136 acres on the Rush Fork the waters of the west fork
of Little River. By 1797, he seems to have been in Warren Co.,
KY. He died about 1811 in White Co., TN. I have been told that
his wife was Elizabeth PRYOR, daughter of Richard PRYOR and Mourning
THOMPSON, but have no proof of this. I also think that he is son
of Moses RHEA/WRAY/RAY who left his will in Franklin Co., VA.,
dated 9 Apr 1802. Can anyone verify this? Ezekiel's mother must
have been Elizabeth MORRIS, daughter of Daniel and Tabitha MORRIS.
Tabitha MORRIS leaves her will in Bedford Co., VA., and mentions
daughter, Betty RAY. I would also like to know if Ezekiel's grandfather
is the Moses RAY/WRAY/RHEA who left his will in Amherst Co., VA.,
dated 22 May 1766 and mentions a son, Moses RAY.
