In 1974 the county was dissolved and along with Haldimand County became the regional municipality of Haldimand-Norfolk.
In 2001 the municipality was dissolved and the former counties re-instated as separate municipalites of Haldimand County and Norfolk County.

The OntarioGenWeb Project is a not a research service. OntarioGenWeb volunteers and hosts are here to provide information on the web to help you help yourself trace your family tree.
OntarioGenWeb specializes in the how and where - how to research Ontario and where to find research resources.
We understand that most visitors are specifically seeking actual genealogical records but this type of information requires two very important things - time and volunteers. If you'd like to see Norfolk County records online VOLUNTEER!
