WEDDING - LUCAS - PATTON
Sackville, NB Dec 18th.

A very pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. Mrs. W.M. PATTON, Sackville, when their eldest daughter, GRETA S. was united in marriage to AUGUSTUS C. LUCAS, formerly of Sackville, but now of the 72nd Canadian Garrison Regiment of St. John. The bride who carried a bouquet of carnations and maiden hair ferns, looked very pretty in a dress of messaline silk as she entered the parlor to the strains of the Wedding March leaning on the arm of her father. The ceremony was performed by an uncle of the bride, Rev. AUSTIN M. ANGUS, of Advocate, in the presence of about 40 guests. The presents, which consisted of furniture, cutlery, glassware, etc., showed the high esteem in which the happy couple were held by their many friends. Mr. & Mrs. LUCAS will reside in St. John, NB.

Among the guests were Mr. & Mrs. AMOS E. CHASE of Mount Pleasant.

DIED
Little BORDEN, the youngest son of Mr. & Mrs. W. MALCOLM MILLER, we deeply regret to learn passed away on Friday forenoon, at the age of 9 years and 4 months as the result of an attack of pneumonia. Although an invalid, BORDEN was a remarkably bright, ambitious child and a favorite with all. Besides his parents, he leaves a brother, Private ELTON, overseas, and a sister, Miss ALICE all of whom have the deepest sympathy in their bereavement.
