Queens County GenWeb
Host: John A. ColwellHistorical Details of Queens County
New Brunswick, CanadaThis page will hold items of historical nature that impacted on the life and times of the residents of New Brunswick. Although they will be gathered and mounted in ramdom order, I will attempt to placed them in some sort of time line order.
Proposed sections will be:
- Aboriginal / native population
- French Settlements
- Pre-Loyalist From American Colonies (mid 1760's to pre 1783)
- Loyalist (1783 to late 1700's, often late Loyalist stayed behind to settle estates, or to gather funds or supplies.)
- Irish Settlers (These often came in groups and settled together in certain areas.)
- Mixed Nationalities (Most often came in single family units, although sometimes settling near friends or relatives)
Only time will tell what shape and order the entries will take.I will also reserve a spot to show links to some general history of New Brunswick, as I find them. You are invited to share details you have found, as well as links you have visited.
