Parkville Gazette, Ezra F. Knighton

Parkville Gazette: Ezra F. Knighton, an old and respected citizen of Platte county, died at his home near Barry, Tuesday, May 26. He was laid to rest with Masonic honors at Barry on Thursday. He was the first man to receive the Masonic degrees in Compass Lodge of Parkville, nearly 60 years ago, sometime before the lodge was chartered, while it was working under the dispensation from the Grand Lodge. He was a good man, and beside his family, a great host of friends will be saddened by his passing away.
