RACHAEL 17 Oct 1838 On the motion of Woodford McDowell, admr. of the estate of John McDowell dec'd it is ordered that John Anderson, John C. Shanklin, Jefferson Boswell, and Humphry Simmons or any three appraise the estate. Inventory returned on 31 Oct 1838 which included the appraisals of: RACHAEL Will of Thomas Wells written 18 Apr 1837, Bullitt Co. KY: "I give to my daughter Margaret Ellen a negro man named John and a negro child named RACHAEL to descend to her children...the said negro to remain in the possession of my wife during her life" ( Bullitt Co. KY Will Book B p. 468 ) RACHAEL b. bef. 1773 1789 Tithable list Nelson Co. - C. Harrison & Capt. Lincoln's Company (west of Bardstown). Household of Anthony Foster: Whites over the age of 16 himself and John Foster. Blacks in household (over 16): Martain, Kate and Rachael. RACHEL b. bef. 1773 1789 Tithable list of Nelson Co. KY - Ben Pope's district (present day western Nelson Co., parts of Bullitt Co. & Hardin Co.) Household of Thomas Crutcher included Isaac Crutcher, Edmund Crutcher and John Crutcher: blacks over the age of 16: Gilbert, Judy, Milley, Frank & Cate. A James Crutcher appears on the same list very close to this household tithed for himself and "RACHEL, a negro". RANDALL b. bef. 1773 1789 Tithable list for Nelson Co. KY - C. Harrison & CAPT. Lincoln's Company (west of Bardstown) In the household of Cuthbert Harrison : Whites over 16: himself - blacks over 16: John Murray. Blacks in household over 16: RANDALL, Jack, Isaac, Ben, Randall, Dinah, Patt, Lucy and Amy. REUBEN Inventory of estate of Thomas Foreman Dec’d taken by Charles Bowman, Elijah Weeks and James Heady... “one negro boy named REUBEN valued at $428.00. Reuben was later purchased at the estate sale by Benjamin Foreman for $452.00 (Spencer Co. Will Book B. p. 202) RICHARD b. abt. 1774 RICHARD (Black) age 80 male, Resident of Bullitt Co., KY. Slave Master: Mathew Wilson, died Bullitt Co. KY 1 April(?) 1853 ( Source: Bullitt Co. KY - Death Register ) RILEY abt. 1827 Inventory of the personal estate of Richard P. Simmons returned by exors. Mary Simmons and Richard H. Field 24 Mar 1845 included a list of the following: RINDA Will of Brittain White of Bullitt Co. KY 1 Jun 1835 "my daughter Ravia Ralph (Relph) is to be charged with one negro girl named RINDA at the price of $200" ( Bullitt Co. KY Will Book B p. 407 ) ROBERT Will of Brittain White of Bullitt Co. KY 1 Jun 1835 "...my son James White is to be charged with one yellow slave named ROBERT at the price of $200" ( Bullitt Co. KY Will Book B p. 407 ) ROBERT Will of Mary Brown written 7 Nov 1817 Bullitt Co. KY. "I being in my proper senses and wishing to Dispose of what I have attained to Since my husband John Brown deceased I hereby Give and bequeath unto my two Sons namely Thomas Brown and Nicholas Brown Two Negroes Namely Robert and MORIAH" ( Bullitt Co. KY Will Book A p. 437 ) ROBERT APPLEGATE b. abt. 1827 Inventory of the personal estate of Richard P. Simmons returned by exors. Mary Simmons and Richard H. Will Bk D p. 8) ROSE b. abt. 1787 Inventory and appraisement of the estate of Obed Swearingen 1 Oct 1830: "Negro woman ROSE, age 42 or 43 years, valued at $160" ( Bullitt Co. Will Book B p. 272 ) ROSE b. abt. 1829 Appraisal of the estate of Jacob Bowman, deceased 13 March 1843: "ROSE, a negro girl 14 years old, valued at $250" ( Bullitt Co.
