Shawvill Equity, Thursday, November 7, 1907.
Mr. Edgerton Martin, while on a trip over the height of land for the
Geo. Gordon & Co., with whom he has been employed for the past several
years, made a great discovery of cobalt and silver fully equal to
anything yet discovered in or around Cobalt. We understand from Mr.
Martin that the vein is about two and a half feet wide and can be traced
for about two hundred yards on the surface. The only draw back being the
distance that it is away from the railway, it being about seventy miles
north of Wahnapitea Lake. Mr. Martin also reports that there is
excellent pine as far as he went; he says that it is eqully as good as
anything lying along the C.P.R. and that pulpwood is unlimited.
